Lost & Found (Chapter 36)

"Do you like this house?" Nino asked Jun in a small whisper as they sat on the floor in what was supposed to be their living room.

It was a bit uncomfortable to sit on the floor, but they had blankets and cushions on the floor while they leant against the wall. Jun was balancing the laptop on his knee as he browsed through furniture.

Ohno was outside, calling the delivery service for their dinner. Nino supposed that it was meant to give them a bit of space to themselves since he didn't do it inside, even if Ohno said that the reception was better outside.

"It's a bit dull," Jun said with a quirk of his lips. "But I suppose it's alright."

Nino scrunched up his nose at those words. That was not really an explanation.

"I'm surprised that you agreed to live out here. It's a trip to your university from here."

"There is a bus station just down the street," Nino shrugged. "And it's not as if I will go to university forever."

"You would make a charming teacher, though," Jun said with a smile as he pecked Nino's scrunched up nose.

Nino giggled at his words but shook his head. "No, thank you. Looking after little brats is not what I would consider fun. But I could teach you and Oh-chan if you were interested."

"I always wanted to learn how to play the piano," Jun said with a small smile.

"Back to the house, though. Do you like it?"

"Yes, it's nice. I like that it is not in the middle of the city and that we'll have enough space for ourselves. I just honestly am worried about how much you had spent on this."

"Not as much as you fear. We are fine, I promise," Nino said as he moved up. He carefully put the laptop down on the floor and sat on his lap. He kissed him softly, his fingers tangling in Jun's hair.

Jun sighed softly, relaxing under the kiss and held him carefully around his waist. He licked his lips when they moved back, savouring the taste. "Okay, I will stop worrying."

Nino grinned as he nodded and rubbed his nose against his cheek.

"We are going to your old home tomorrow," Jun announced, tightening his grip around his waist as he felt Nino stiffen.

"Why?" Nino whined.

Jun sighed as his fingers traded through the soft locks of Nino's hair and closed his eyes.

"Because I want you to be able to move on."

"I did," Nino said with a small whine to his voice.

Jun lifted his eyebrow as he looked down at him, smirking when Nino pouted under his eyes.

"Okay, I did not fully yet. But I wanted this weekend to be all about you. Not me and my silly problems."

"Your problems are never silly. Neither are Satoshi-kun's. At least not to me," Jun said as he put his finger on his lips. "And I already explained to Ohno that I think it would be best to walk through that house looking for things that we might be able to use here before I go on a shopping spree."

"You don't have to be considerate of me."

"I'm not. I fear that what I have in mind might hurt you more than just throwing it all away. Nino, if we take something from your grandfather's home, I want to make sure it fits here. But most of his things are very old-fashioned, and I would like to change them then."

Nino nodded slowly in understanding as he took a deep breath. "I understand. But you promised we could take the old secretary's desk and keep it?"

"Yes, of course," Jun said as he kissed his nose. "It's antique, right?"

"Uhn. It's from my great-grandfather. Grandpa told me, and dad taught me how to write on it," he said with a small smile. It had many little shelves inside that he liked so very much. As a little boy, he had always tried to look for secrets inside, and his parents had made sure to hide small things inside. "Can we put it in the living room?"

"Of course. It's good to work on, right?"

Nino nodded with a small smile. It would probably be hard to make the rest fit, but he understood why Jun wanted to check his home first. "And what do you mean with changing the rest?"

"Ever heard of upcycling?" Jun asked. Nino frowned as he watched Jun.

"Yes," Ohno answered from the door, making the younger men look up. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing, you just surprised us. Food is coming?"

"Yup, they said it'd be around thirty minutes." Ohno grinned as he sat down beside them, pulling Nino closer so that Jun could take the laptop again. "I don't mind to take as many things as you like from your home. But I want a few completely new things."

"A fridge you already mentioned," Nino agreed as he leant against Ohno.

"And a new bed and the sofa Jun mentioned," Ohno added.

Nino nodded in agreement while Jun hummed under his breath. He opened the website again, clicking on the link for the bedroom furniture. Nino moved on top of Ohno so that they were all able to look at the screen. "I want a bed that's big enough to fit us all," he demanded.

Jun rolled his eyes but kept snuggled up with the others as they clicked themselves through the choices.

-

Is he still sleeping? Jun asked Ohno as he opened the door to the bedroom. Ohno was looking up from his place on the futons with a small grin on his face.

He is still pretending to be asleep, Ohno disagreed with a small chuckle. Jun rolled his eyes but then nodded in understanding.

"You should try to wake him up. I'll prepare coffee for us and something for breakfast."

"We'll be down in a minute," Ohno promised.

Jun nodded and left the room again. "I already packed the notes from yesterday and the notebook."

Ohno chuckled as Jun almost skipped out of the room. It was nice to see how excited the youngest was. He sighed as he looked down at Nino again and played with his hair. "Wakey, wakey, Nino-chan," he whispered as he pressed his kiss to his brows.

"I don't wanna. I'm still sleepy," Nino whined as he burrowed his head deeper into the cushions.

"We did go to bed early," Ohno told him and tapped his nose.

"Maybe, but we didn't sleep early," Nino grumbled as he glanced at Ohno, who lifted an eyebrow.

Ohno sighed as he laid down beside him. His fingers were running up and down his side. He grinned when goosebumps appeared on Nino's arms. "And it's not because we are going to your grandfather's home?"

Nino stiffened as he pressed himself further into Ohno's body. "No?"

"Aww, baby," Ohno cooed as he kissed his forehead. "I promise me and Jun will be with you, and it will do you good."

Nino sighed as he rubbed his nose against Ohno's still naked chest. He pressed his lips against the warm skin and then nodded. Ohno was right.

"Okay. We should head down."

"I will go first. You get ready, and I will help Jun."

Nino nodded as he pushed himself up and then left the room. Ohno grinned as he got up and went down to Jun.

"Is he ready?"

"Yep, be nice to him."

"I'm always nice," Jun said with a pout. "I only scold him if he is stupid."

Nino appeared down shortly after, taking the cup of coffee from Jun with a thankful smile.

"Did you write down all the measurements?"

"Yup, all written down here. Don't worry."

Nino nibbled on his lower lip before he sighed. "I have a request for you."

"What is it?" Jun asked with furrowed brows.

"I don't think the piano will fit in any of the rooms upstairs, not with the other things I will need," he mumbled as he sipped his coffee.

"You can put them into my room," Ohno offered with a smile. "That would fit, right?"

"Yes, but… I don't want to get onto your nerves."

"You won't. I like listening to you." Ohno smiled as he pulled him over to himself. He put his arms around his waist and hugged him tightly.

"Better than into the living room," Jun agreed. "If you are okay with it, Kaz."

Nino nodded with a soft smile. "Okay. I think I can do that."

"But we'll put a guest bed in your room then," Jun said with a grin. Nino pouted as he stuck out his tongue but nodded in the end. He would be okay with that probably.

Jun smiled as he finished his coffee, looking over Nino and Ohno as they ate the bread they had bought yesterday, and Nino finished his coffee. He chuckled when he saw some cream on top of his nose and rubbed it away with his thumb.

"Ready to leave?"

"No, but we should anyway."

"Good boy," Jun said as he put a strand of hair behind his ear. Ohno grinned as he led him out of the house with an arm around his waist.

-

They wandered through the house, and Jun noted down the measurements for the secretary desk with a small smile.

"I like the dark cherry wood," Jun mentioned. "We will be able to pick a colour scheme around that for the rest of the room. Are you okay with that?"

"Yes," Ohno agreed readily as he followed Jun through the rest of the house. In the end, Jun decided for a table set for their kitchen and a low table for their living room as well as a few cupboards for their new home. He marked them all down for the movers.

"Are you okay, Kaz?" Jun asked the very quiet young man who nodded with a small grimace.

"Yes, sorry. When will the movers come?"

"As soon as I call them," Ohno said softly. Nino nodded in understanding. There were already people interested in the house, and he was just holding them back.

"J, would you be okay with us sorting this all out today?"

"Of course. Come 'ere," Jun said with a smile opening his arms for the other man who sighed and snuggled up to him. He relaxed against the warm arms around himself and closed his eyes.

Jun swayed them slightly for a moment before he pushed Nino down on the sofa. "But first, we should have lunch."

"I'm not hungry," Nino mumbled.

"Yes, you are," Jun grinned when his stomach grumbled as on cue. "As am I, and I'm sure that Oh-chan is starving."

Nino looked at the oldest, giggling at the hopeful look on his face. "Okay, okay. Let's go out and get lunch. There is no food in this house, or if there is, we should probably burn it somewhere."

Jun giggled as he kissed him on the nose before getting to his feet, pulling him up again.

"I only get pushed around by you today, huh?" Nino said with a small frown on his face, just to be ignored by his two lovers as they dragged him outside.

After lunch, they spent the rest of the afternoon, packing boxes with Nino's old clothes and kitchenware that Jun liked or thought were still in pretty good shape.

Nino looked around when they were finished with a little sigh. His heart felt heavy as he moved through the rooms with slow steps. Jun and Ohno were waiting for him in the entryway as tired as he was but still giving him the time to say his goodbyes to his old home.

Jun hugged him tightly when he came back while Ohno kissed his temple lovingly. "Ready to leave?"

"Yes, I don't want to be here when they take the things, though," Nino said in a small voice.

"You don't have to. You and Jun can wait in our new home and tell the people where you need those things you want to have to go while I will be here to oversee the packing up," Ohno said as he kissed him again.

"But…"

"No, buts, I insist," Ohno said as he pinched his cheek. "I am of no use over there because they will transport your things, so you need to tell them where you want them, and Jun needs to tell them where to put the rest of the stuff."

Nino wanted to argue, but then he agreed silently. It made sense to him that way.

"But for now, we should go back to the house, if we still spend time together?"

"Yup. I only have to bring you back home by tomorrow evening."

"I'm tired," Nino moaned as he snuggled closer to Jun.

"Let's go then," Ohno said with an amused chuckle as he led them both out of the house and back to their new home.
