Nino groaned as he was woken up by some weak cries. He rubbed his face with a hand before he carefully climbed out of bed. He was careful not to wake Ohno but as soon as his feet touched the cold floor.
“Shh… It’s fine, get back to sleep,” he whispered as his fingers danced over Ohno’s arm, hoping that Ohno would go back to sleep.
But Ohno turned around and kissed his fingertips when they met his lips.
“What’s wrong?”
“Nothing for you to worry about. Just hungry children,” he said with a small smile as he finally got up to leave the bed. He picked up the smallest of the babies.
He pressed his lips against the head of the small boy, swaying him a bit as he hummed under his breath and went to the kitchen to prepare three bottles. He knew from experience now that if one of the triplets was hungry and whiny the rest would be the same just minutes later.
“That hungry, little one?” he asked in a small voice when Kouhei whined and put his hand into his mouth to suck at it, just to get all upset when there wasn’t any milk coming out of his balled fist.
Kazu giggled slightly as he kissed the head again. His skin was slightly flaky but he was healthy and that was all that mattered to him. He could hear Miharu and Akito getting upset slightly in their cot beside the bed.
Kazu listened to the shuffling steps of the other man, as Ohno came to the kitchen, yawning slightly. “Are the bottles ready?”
“Uhn,” Kazu mumbled smiling when Ohno came even closer, leaning in to kiss the head of their son as well, before, making Kazu laugh because Ohno licked his nose as they were so close. “Silly,” Kazu giggled as he moved Kouhei to one arm to check the temperature for the bottles. He then took one, leaving the other two to Ohno and started feeding their son as they walked back.
They settled on the bed and Ohno picked up the other two babies to prop them up against them to be able to feed them. Kazu sighed as he leant back, looking over at Kouhei who was drinking his meal happily with slight slurping noises.
“Kitten?”
“Yes?” Kazu looked up at Ohno, whose eyes were still fixed on their children. A small chuckle rose in Kazu but he kept it down since Kouhei was slowly finishing his drink and starting to nod off against his chest.
Kazu loved having all three children close to him and even if it was sometimes hard to held three wriggling babies in his arms at the same time he tried to have them around his body as often as possible. Luckily, Ohno understood that and helped him to arrange the babies around him.
“Is it bad that Kouhei is still so small?”
Kazu blinked brought back from his musings and looked over the small boy on his chest. He sighed a little as he caressed the soft hair that was on top of his head before he caressed the other two with his finger on their cheek while the babies finished their meals as well.
“No, he is just more human than the other two.”
“More human?” Ohno blinked in confusion as he sat up carefully to put the bottles on the bedside table and then laid back on his side.
Kazu nodded with a small yawn. Now that the children were about to go back to sleep, he got sleepy as well. “They are all a bit different, Kouhei is more human, Akito more demon and our little Miharu is more angel,” Kazu mumbled as he moved carefully as to not lose the little weight on top of him and put one arm around the two at his side while cradling their smallest on top of him.
“Are you mad about that Toshi?” he asked a bit insecurely after a few minutes.
“No,” Ohno was fast to reply as he moved forward to kiss Kazu’s forehead. A small smile was on his face as he looked over his small family. “I’m very proud of you and they are all perfect just like you,” he promised as he pecked his lips a few times.
“Don’t think anything else. Go back to sleep now. They will need you in the morning.”
A small chuckle escaped him when Kazu mumbled in agreement and he fell asleep shortly after with a soft snore. Ohno grinned as he made sure he was comfortable and then laid back down beside the four of them. First, he had been scared when Kazu had taken the babies between them but he had soon learnt that there was an instinct inside Kazu that made it impossible for him to hurt the babies. They were very well protected with Kazu close to them.

Ohno had been home for six weeks to help Kazu take care of three babies. There was no way he would leave Kazu with it all alone so shortly after the birth. He wanted to help him and to make sure that he was healed fully as well.
He was glad for their friends who came over, bringing food and groceries regularly throughout that time. (And he was very glad that they just accepted that Kazu would hide in the bedroom with his three children cradled close to his body whenever someone not belonging to their family was so close. Ohno just hoped that this would change sooner rather than later because he knew his friends wanted to meet the babies finally.)
Now though his vacation time was over and he needed to go back to work, which was hard.
He had enjoyed spending so much time with the other, playing with his children and seeing them grow.
In these few weeks, it had become clearer and clearer that Miharu and Akito were more than normal humans. They had grown a lot more than Kouhei. Kouhei looked like a normal six weeks old while the other two looked more like close to being one.
“It’s strange,” Ohno mused as he gave Kouhei a rattle to wave around happily while babbling to himself. The other two were playing with toy cars with their father who now looked up.
“What is?”
“How big they’ve gotten,” Ohno said with a shrug. “If it continues like this they will soon be able to walk and talk and… People always say they grow up so fast but they do.”
Kazu giggled as he patted the heads of the two and stood to sit down beside Ohno on the sofa, peering into the small cot where Kouhei was lying in and playing with his toy. “We mostly see that because Kouhei is still so small,” Kazu said softly and kissed him. “And because humans grow differently. They will grow up fast until they would be theoretically able to defend themselves, so yeah, walking and talking will come. But then they should grow up normally.”
“What do you mean?”
Kazu shrugged as a dark look crossed his face. “It’s not always safe in our realms for little ones,” he said in the end and Ohno nodded slowly, remembering the wings and scars on Nino’s body, and some of the things Kazu had told him about his childhood.
“Nothing will happen to them,” Ohno agreed as he kissed his temple. “I have to leave for work soon,” he said with a sigh then, closing his eyes. “And I don’t want to.”
Kazu giggled but kissed his lips softly. “Me neither but there is nothing we can do about that,” he said with a frown. Work was important after all.
“I know,” Ohno said with a small pout on his face as he looked at the children who were giggling and hiding their faces behind their hands when Kazu had kissed him. He grinned as he stuck his tongue out to them, kissing Kazu more thoroughly to which they shrieked.
Kazu laughed as he moved back. “Daddy and Papa like each other very much. So you don’t have to look like that,” he said as he moved forward to tickle them softly.
“When can the guys come? Jun will be disappointed with how big they are already.”
Nino shrugged as a frown appeared on his face as he picked Miharu up to hug her close. He knew that they were all very patient with him, but slowly he wouldn’t be able to keep them out for a long time.
“Tomorrow night,” he said in the end with a sigh. “But we’ll have taken out. I’ll need naps before they come,” he mumbled with a frown.
“You still get tired?”
Kazu shrugged before he nodded. It was exhausting raising three babies especially with two children using the energy of their parents to develop their own. As Nino was the only one providing that it was tiring him out a lot. There was no use to worry Ohno, though, so he kept silent about it. He knew it would all be over soon and until then Sho’s spell would keep the demons out.
Ohno sighed when his alarm in his phone pinged to make sure he won’t forget about work today. He got up to change clothes (there was no use to wear nice-looking clothing with them needing feeding, throwing up the milk over them and all the other nasty things.)
“Say goodbye to your daddy,” Kazu cooed at the children as he picked up Akito as well who was trying to crawl over to Ohno on his own.
Ohno grinned as he scooped the boy up shortly to kiss his forehead. “Be a good boy to your papa. No tantrums today,” he scolded the boy who babbled while looking a bit pouty because Ohno would even think about him doing something wrong.
Kazu grinned as he took the boy back and Ohno kissed the top of Miharu’s head before tickling Kouhei’s tummy and then finally kissing Kazu on the lips.
“Don’t clean. I’ll do it tonight when I’m back. And you don’t need to cook either if you don’t want anything. I can bring food tonight. Just write me a message if you decide to prepare food.”
“Will do. Now go and don’t worry. We’ll be fine, right?” he asked the two children in his arms who giggled while babbling something that could be interpreted as agreement while Kouhei shrieked loudly. Ohno smiled before leaving his home finally.
