Rose of Versailles
Finished just now...that was so fricking sad. But then I guess that is to be expected from an anime that focuses on the French Revolution. I mean you know it isn't going to end happily.
I take back my earlier post about the anime not seeming girly. Okay it's not necessarily girly but it can be a bit melodramatic which is typical for shoujo in my opinion.
Still Oscar & Andre I really love these two sooo much. Seriously they are one of the best anime romantic couples I've ever seen.
I also really liked how Marie Antoinette was portrayed in this anime.
Another thing I really liked about this anime is all the characters are really mature or I should say they mature through the course of the series.
I am sure scenes were embellished and changed (and I know they made a few mistakes) but it was nice to be taken through 20 years of history to see the events leading up to the French Revolution and then the French Revolution itself
And if I couldn't have a day without seeing something stupid. This time it's a Korean professor.
