Japanese Food Pictures

I am trying to think how I want to organize these pictures to share so I will start with something simple Food. Actually I kind of regret I didn't take that many food pictures, my friend took a lot more and later on I thought I wish I took more pictures of food I had eaten.

In fact I didn't take a picture of my favorite meal which was Nishin (Herring) Soba at Fushimi Inari. OMG this was heavenly. The description of what you would taste on the menu was exactly what I tasted. Never have I had such an experience.

But my second favorite meal was at a Buddhist Temple, Hasedera: Powdered Matcha with sweetened potatoes

And now for some other food. The following were eaten at Namco Namjo Ice Cream & Dessert Theme park. I also tried something at the Gyoza theme park but once again no picture

We stayed at a Ryokan in Kyoto and I loved pictures on the Tatami floors (picture is of tea and Japanese traditional sweets)

Not a food picture exactly but in Osaka we ate at this cute little creperie. I had a Green tea ice cream Crepe of course

And speaking of Green Tea I loved this little chain

French Toast & Herbal tea I had in Enoshima

Japanese vending machines (I will miss the hot drinks terribly)

My last meal in Japan was at Mister Donut. Another Japanese chain I love. However the cake in the picture I got in the train station in a little counter selling Christmas Cakes. I always wanted to try Japanese Christmas cake. This cake besides having cream and strawberries also had pineapples, it was really good. I probably looked funny bringing my fancy cake box into Mister Donut but I enjoyed it. :)

And finally at the airport I had some Tuna Sashimi. I had conveyer belt Sushi two other times in Tokyo which I enjoyed. I know conveyer belt Sushi is not the top kind but I just like that experience. It always reminds me of that joke in Nodame Cantabile where Chiaki who comes from a wealthy family had no idea what conveyer belt Sushi is. XD

Other things I tried in Japan for the first time are Dango, Japanese BBQ and Okonomiyaki (Osaka Style) with Shrimp. I am sure my friend took pictures of this stuff.

I also went to the food hall at Mitsukoshi and tried tons of things there but didn't take pictures because I felt it would be rude.

I will post more pictures eventually!
