Although I am a little late to the party I finally saw "How to Train Your Dragon". Although I missed seeing it in IMAX and only got to see it in 3D which was still nice but I bet those flying scenes would have been really cool to see in IMAX.
Anyways I went with my friend Jenny yesterday afternoon and we were literally the only ones in the theater but then some strange woman came in to watch the movie when there was only about 45 mins left (what is the point of that?)
I really enjoyed it because well it had dragons and dragons are awesome. I also appreciated that they they didn't talk which is one thing that sort of annoys me about a lot of children's films (sometimes talking animals work, usually they don't). Not to mention the dragons acted like kitty cats which made them even more cool. :)
In the end I thought the movie was very heartwarming and cute and I loved the soundtrack (the only negative thing I will say is some of the action scenes sort of bored me).
edit: I also appreciated that this film had no stupid pop culture references which litter most of the other Dreamworks animated films.
edit 2: But apparently Dreamworks already plans to ruin it by turning this film into a franchise and making a sequel.
