FMA Brotherhood Episode 19
One of Bone's better efforts but not perfect.
First of all they skipped Ran Fan and Ling's fight with Gluttony & Envy. It's not a minor fight because a lot of information was presented during that fight. Will they show it later I don't know. But the episode gets points off for not including this since it is a relevant scene.
I also didn't like how they did the scene when Roy makes the room explode with Havoc's lighter. They didn't even show the full explosion. Okay that one is just a nitpick but the above missing fight scene is a huge issue. I also didn't like the music that played when Barry met his end. It was too tragic sounding. Whoever is in charge of choosing which music tracks to use for scenes really does not know what they are doing.
However the rest of the episode was really good.
This entire scene was perfect and one of the best scenes of the anime so far (I even think they gave Roy's re-entrance new music which was really nice and was actually a good music choice)
Oh the scene when Havoc was attacked by Lust was also great. Miki did a fantastic job here. In fact he was fantastic the entire episode.
Finally the episode ended with Ed seeing Hohenheim (and there was some good music played here as well I am almost shocked). The ending actually felt the same way Arakawa ends her chapters. It made you anticipate the next episode by not having everything wrapped up neatly by the end of the episode.
Well all is well that ends well. That is until I saw the preview and saw scenes from chapter 42-44. And they still need to animate scenes from chapter 40 that involve Roy & Co. More than 2 chapters again. WTF!!!!!!!!!!
On a related note spoilers about the next Hagaren chapter are already out so that means we should be expecting RAWS of the next chapter very soon. I can't wait. Because while I have no faith in Bones at all I have total faith in Arakawa to deliver the most amazing chapter ever like she always does.
