FMA DVD/BD News

First of all I want to wish a very Happy Birthday to rukawagf

Anyways some news about the Japanese Hagaren DVD's from here and here

Besides animating the Blind alchemist Gaiden they will also be animated Arakawa's 4-Koma theater. The DVDs will come with character cards from the Eyecatch, Drama Cds, 16 page Booklets, and a Box designed by Arakawa to house the first 4 DVDs I believe.

The dates for the DVDs are

DVD 1 8/26 (episodes 1 & 2 and Blind Alchemist)
DVD 2 9/30 (episodes 3-6)
DVD 3 10/28 (episode 7-10)

I want! I never ordered Japanese DVDs before because 1) I only recently discovered how to make my DVD Player Region Free 2) They are super expensive 3) No Subtitles

But with all the goodies, the fact that it is FMA, and I can follow along pretty well without subs due to my familiarity with the series I am really tempted to at least buy the 1st DVD, maybe. I still haven't made up my mind. I would like to know what the US is planning on doing with this series in terms of DVDs. I am happy with the move to 13-episode sets but it kind of has taken away from the nice boxsets to put on your shelf. And that is sort of disappointing. I figure if I get the box that comes with the 1st Japanese DVD, maybe I could use it for something else, maybe even to put those 13 episode sets in? It would be nice if Funi designed a boxset to keep those all in for that but I won't hold my breath.

Also we better get the Blind Alchemist and 4-Koma theater over in the States Funi!

edit: Oh and Amazon just sent me an E-mail that I saved a whopping 11 cents because of a price decrease. Why thank you Amazon. Yes I know every penny counts. ;)
