My Regular Monday Post
Well I guess it's been pretty regular with my Sarah Jane Adventure Posts each week
Despite barely any Sarah Jane (but they still snuck in a Sarah Jane/Luke Hug woohoo) this was a really good episode. It was great to finally get some of Clyde's background. His mom is really cool, but ugh his Dad DO NOT LIKE.
First of all I loved the Luke/Clyde moments. The thing I love most about the SJA is not the alien stuff but the character interactions it's always top notch. And seeing Luke and Clyde hanging out and acting like real teenage boys was so cute.
I also really liked the scene with Rani and her dad. How at first she was just having a little fun but then she realized how serious controlling someone could be. I am glad she was smart and realized it was dangerous. This episode made me really like Rani because although she made a mistake, she learned quickly (but Maria I still miss you...I am glad the show has not forgotten about her). Although I did find it interesting that Clyde only mention himself, SJ and Luke as the saving the world team...
But goddammit Clyde why did you have to let your stupid Father up in the attic? I was so uncomfortable during that entire scene. But I can't be too mad at you because you defended Luke to your stupid father and called him your real friend AWWWWWWWW!
So I finished watching the 1st part of the Ouran dub this weekend and I really enjoyed it. Probably my favorite dub performance is from the twins but everyone was very good. Actually I think everyone was just as good as their Japanese counterpart, maybe with the exception of Tamaki and Haruhi but then how can you beat Miyano Mamoru and Maaya Sakamoto? (but that being said I still really enjoyed the dub performance of Tamaki and Haruhi overall)
As for the commentary Honey was mentioned as a favorite character by several of them and all I can think is God Why? Honey and Mori are my least favorites of the Host Club characters. Mori is okay but he doesn't do much and Honey I can only take in small doses. Although I actually find Honey's voice less annoying in the dub so go figure.
Other then that they mentioned Mushishi during the commentary. Now rationally speaking this should not be a big surprise since Funi also licensed Mushishi but when I heard them mention it (I think they were talking about meeting the director) I got all excited. I am such a dork. But who knows maybe this will get more people interested in Mushishi which would be great. I mean Ouran is fun but it can't compare to Mushishi after all. And no one in the host club can compare to Ginko...it's true (although I do love Tamaki). :)
In other news I randomly ordered a used copy of Rumic World Manga Vol 1. I wanted this for awhile because it has Firetripper and Laughing Target included and I love those stories so much. Some of Takahashi's best I think. ♥
Anyways I plan to vote as early in the morning as I can tomorrow just to get it over with. I wish I didn't have to go to work but maybe that will distract me until we know if we will actually have a worthwhile president in the white house.
Speaking of work I hate that it's so dark out now when I leave because we had to turn the clocks back. God I hate the winter. D:
