So I started watching the 3rd DVD of Saiunkoku today and I guess you can say it revitalized my interest in this series which is sort of ironic because someone made a post on a message board that they didn't like how Shuurei is so naive about love. Actually I find it refreshing that Shuurei wants to focus on her career over romance (although I really do love the romance between Shuurei and Ryuuki and I still expect them to be together at the end of the series whenever that is).
Anyways in my new found interest I went to see if the second season was finished being subbed but alas it looks like subs were only released up to 21 so far. While Saiunkoku is not the most popular series it isn't "not popular" either and has a pretty strong fanbase so I don't understand why it takes so long to get subbed or why there is only 1 group subbing it in the 1st place. :(
Oh well I guess will catch up to the subbed episodes and just watch episodes as they are released slowly. I don't exactly remember the last episode I watched subbed but I know for sure I watched at least up to episode 18 RAW so I am starting with episode 19 subbed. Hopefully the next 20 episodes will be released in less than a year. I especially want to see the Ran Shuuei story animated.
I've also been reading the 13th novel summary (where the anime left off) which focuses on Kouyuu so I really hope there is a 3rd season once more novels are released. If Kyou Kara Maoh can have a 3rd season I don't see why this can't. Apparently 2 years have passed in the series up to this point.
