RE: Gundam

I'm not into Gundam really, but I definitely enjoyed Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket. It's really old, but only six episodes and quite good.

RE: Evangelion

I recommend seeing it sometime. :) I don't think it really lives up to the hype, but nonetheless it's a good series and quite interesting.

Haha, I would continue, but this comment would end up really long. Maybe I'll just do the meme!

I am not against watching Evangelion it's just I haven't rushed to see it. And at this point I already know almost everything about it because of memes and spoilers.

And thanks for the Gundam rec. :)

Ha, that's how it was for me before I saw it, too. It took me a good few years to get to it, and by then I had seen nearly all the footage in AMVs/parodies/etc. Still, pick it up sometime when you're in the mood for it, and I think you'll find it an intriguing ride. I don't think it's THE BEST or anything, but I did enjoy it a lot.

You're welcome! Like I said, it's definitely old, but it's really worth watching. I didn't like it at first, but just keep watching (I mean, it's only six episodes anyway) and it becomes quite powerful.

00 actually gets astonishingly good in the last third. I genuinely couldn't believe it when watching, but those episodes really blew me away. Definitely worth giving another try if you fancy some sweet, sweet pay-off.

I'd personally recommend the original Gundam movie trilogy if you're looking for an awesome entry point to the franchise. That and the third movie is so epic my brain nearly exploded in delight.

If I can find the movie trilogy I would like to give it a shot. I heard good things about it.

And I might try to watch Gundam 00 before the new season starts. But it will have to be when I have more time which isn't now.

It's not that I skipped it, it's more circumstances kept me from watching it. The first season I watched because a friend let me borrow her DVDs. TSR I watched because it was just coming out on fansub at the time and while I hadn't watched Fumoffu I had watched the original series and I thought I might as well continue.

So I am not against watching Fumoffu (and I did see two episodes of it from a NT preview DVD) I just haven't found the chance to watch the rest. And since I am not a huge fan of the franchise I didn't rush to see it I guess.
