How is this not licensed?

Thats the $64,000 isnt it, course Im still praying Sakon to be licensed one day XD Im still surprised Ghost Hunt was licensed actually. Sometimes I wonder what goes on in those meetings. I could possibly see Mononoke being licensed only cuz Ayakashi was and the Bakeneko arc was a good seller from what Ive heard.

Did Bakeneko sell well. That's good to know (I bought it :) )

But the only issue with that is it was Geneon who licensed it. Now with them gone I am not sure who would pick up Mononoke. Maybe Funi since they licensed Mushishi.

Yeah Funi would be a good comp since they seem to license "weird" anime like Mushshi, Holic and Ghost Hunt. Mononoke would be right up there ally.

Seriously. I keep telling myself they're waiting to license it until after all the DVD episodes are out. D: This show would look reeeally nice on my shelf next to Victorian Romance Emma...

By the time any company licenses and actually releases the DVDs Japan could be working on a second series I hope

I guess if it isn't licensed at Fanime there are all the other summer conventions. But I think of all the series to license this really should be a top choice. Let's keep hoping.

I don't think there are generally many licensing announcements at Fanime. Sometimes there are some smaller ones, but Fanime is mostly run by fans and doesn't have very much corporate support. :/ AX is probably a better bet, but you never know!

Aww really. Otakon is completely fan run too but the industry still comes because of the Size. Well I guess all hold out for an announcement at AX then.

Yeah, there's *some* industry presence at Fanime--but I'd guess it's considerably less than Otakon, as Fanime is generally only about 8-10K people. Fanime gets away with screening lots of fansubs and such, so obviously there's not that large of a company presence. There might be minor announcements, like I said, but I don't think many big things will be announced.

OFF-TOPIC BUT...SO EXCITED TO MEET GAINAX, OMG! ♥ I hope they like my Boota costume. XD

Actually Otakon also screens fansubs as well. Although the series are never licensed there is a debate about it from time to time.

Have lot so of fun. I bet they will be really impressed by your Boota costume. :)
