I said in my previous post that I should really check their lyrics because my unfocused mind thought this song might have the same impact Itsumademo Itsumademo gave to me but lol how wrong I was. It was a totally different theme, but still, this one is soooo good and angsty too, so me love it so much! Lol
And can you imagine how excited I was when I found out that the writer of this song is iri?? I have loved her since I first found out about her through Fuma, and now she wrote another song for SZ. I am beyond happy! And and annnd I especially love that fumaken parts at the end, because Kento sounds so hurt and then there’s Fuma coming after his part completing the angsty feels. Lol I was reminded again and again why I love fumaken and of course the whole SZ vocals…
Anyway, I know you are all aware that Fuma is a fan of iri, right? I could only imagine how excited he must be, and I bet he got a copy of this song’s demo somewhere because boy I could totally imagine and hear iri singing this song herself and how amazing it must be!

Translating this song is kinda hard. Not just because translating it was hard, but it’s also because I am so out of practice… I can’t even remember when was the last time I did this? Lol orz
So obviously I had to make tough decisions when choosing the words I want to use to translate this song. Like ‘spread’ for nijimu in the beginning, I interpret this part as the person who is telling this story was asking if they are the only one who felt that something’s wrong with them, and thus they asked “did it(the feeling of something’s not right) spread only to me?”. And then for “yukue,” it has a direct translation that is “whereabout”. I could just use that but I feel like it lacks something so I went and searched the description of that word and found that it could also be used as an expression when you are not sure about where you are going. For my Indonesian friends, maybe you would understand it more if I say that it could be translated to “entah di mana/ke mana” lol I don’t if it even makes sense but that’s how I interpreted this part. But using "direction" felt wrong too, so I decided to go with "location", and of course I must say I’m still not satisfied with this lol
And the “nanimo” I decided to translate it to “anything” because I think it connected more to the rest of the lyrics compared to if I use “nothing”. The “exchange” in that “thoughtless exchange” part was referring to the kind of arguing back and forth, but it could also be interpreted as their usual conversation with each other.
The ‘kawaru ga waru’ part is also kinda confusing, I stayed for a long time at that part because I was trying to understand what iri wanted to convey in that part because you see she was using kana so I was confused lol, but seeing that the complete sentence is about breaking up so I guess she was trying to tell about how their days their life changed and it didn’t go to the right direction so they ended up breaking apart. The sentence after that was also a torture to me btw lol
Well, in conclusion, like always, I’m no expert in Japanese, I’m still learning too, much like you and everybody else. So please kindly tell me if I made a mistake here :”)
