Books, and why I am not reading them

Short answer: comfort reading.

My sister, The Wife, has been fighting some serious infections since June. She went into the hospital on Thanksgiving, spent several weeks in a nursing home, went back to the hospital for two weeks, then back to the nursing home until Valentines Day. She was home for a couple of weeks when we had to call an ambulance to take her back to the hospital with a brand new infection: necrotizing faciitis, or flesh-eating bacteria. Now we learn she may not be home before the end of the year. Plus, during the short time she was home, we moved.

While the move turned up a number of books I owned but had never read (and I have no clue why I own some of them) which fit the 10/10 game, all I want to read lately is books I've already read, or new books by authors I already like.

But I did finally finish The Man Who Ate Everything by Jeffrey Steingarten
