I woke up early today to the blessed feeling of the air coolant units chugging away again. I got a great night's worth of sleep--I think the heat helped me pass out for a while. And my hair is very shiny today, which would be great if only there was someone here to notice. And that was a terribly shallow thought, so back to serious news.
I actually got a whole lot of work done today. I spent the day writing analysis on Bajor's current political situation (this was for Starfleet) and then I did the same for the Chamber of Ministers, on the Federation. Next up is another analysis on Bajor, this one on the early status of the elections for Kai. I honestly don't understand why Starfleet can't read the newsfeeds, because it's not as if I have a direct line to the Vedek Assembly, but I guess it's one of those expectations that Ben left behind, so I'll do it anyhow.
Tomorrow Tirys is doing a crew evaluation report, which should also be very nice and work related.
And yes, some of this is because I'm a little irritable that some people are insinuating that I'm not doing a good job here. It's just that as annoying as Ezri and Julian's sexual hijinks were, they were doing it in their quarters and on private diary spaces, and if no one wants to press charges, I can't sic Ro on them. And also because living for most of your life under an oppressive regime gives you a whole new respect for the idea of freedom of speech and free love and all of that other crap that the Federation has probably tainted my brain with. (Or so Quark says.)
But then again, I'm the woman who had her first kiss with her lover out in the middle of the Promenade with about fifty people watching, so I'm probably not the best to ask about annoying public displays of affection.
