I haven't been writing much lately, I know. I'm sorry.
A woman I knew, a prylar who was helping excavate B'hala turned up dead on the station. Ro investigated and found that it was all tied into this secret book of prophecy that had been kept a secret from the Bajoran people. It was startlingly accurate when I read it--it mentioned every major event, from the Kaiship of Thakur to the discovery of the Orb of the Emissary. She also discovered that the prylar's assassian had been paid for by the Vedek Assembly, and one in particular--Yevir, who many think is running fo Kai.
He tried to get me to destroy the book, but it had several prophecies about Kasidy and Jake and Ben in it, including one calling her future child the 'infant Avatar', and saying that ten thousand Bajorans would have to die before the child could be born. It was frightening, but rather than destroy it, I uploaded the copy to the Bajoran comsystem. I thought I was doing the right thing by letting the people of Bajor decide for themselves as to the nature of the book.
But apparently I was wrong. I was lucky, that the ten thousand turned out to be the order that had kept the book all those years, but Kasidy is upset I didn't ask her first, and it seems that I've probably been uninvited from the house. Jake's gone missing...he was supposed to be headed for Earth, but no one has seen him, and Nog thinks he's gone off to try and find Ben.
And because of my actions, I got attainted from the Bajoran religion. I'm not allowed to wear my d'jarra earring, or read the prophecies, or attend temple, ever again.
I feel so very tired.
