Honestly, taking care of Taran'tar isn't as difficult as I've made it out to be. It's just that he needs someone to watch him, so that the others don't freak at the sight of a Jem'hadar just wandering about on the Promenade. That and I spent a few hours debating with Ross and various other admirals that yes, Odo's message was real, and yes, Taran'tar would not be a problem. They're already jumpy because of the recent attack (and really, who isn't), so it took a while.
So far, the crew seems to be taking it fairly well. 'Shar never saw combat in the war, so he's rather ambivalent about Taran'tar. Tiris did, but she's willing to respect my opinion, and she has that Starfleet urge to try and get along with everything and everyone. Ro thinks he might be a security problem, and Nog hates his guts. Which I suppose is understandable, because he hasn't been forced to work through that yet.
I haven't seen Julian or Ezri around lately, although I'm watching all three of their journals with increasing worry and joy. Babies are wonderful. Babies are less wonderful when you worry about the stability of the parents to care for them. I can already tell I'll probably be sucked into baby sitting.
