Author’s Note: Unbetaed, so any mistakes are mine.
Author’s note 2: In the Japanese story of Urashima Tarō, the title character is a fisherman who rescues a sea turtle and is brought to the palace of the King of the Sea. It turns out that the turtle was his daughter, Otohime, who was in disguise. He was rewarded by staying with her. It turned out he was there not for three days, but 300 years. He discovered that when he went back to visit family and friends. Saddened by it, he opened a box she had given him and died. Inside it was his old age. This ficlet is loosely based on that.

A beautiful Asian woman rose up out of the sea. Pale moonlight gave her an ethereal glow. Dean was in “love,” but she only had eyes for Sam. Stepping towards him, she bowed low. “Domo arigato gozaimashita, Winchester-san.”
“You’re welcome.” Sam also bowed.
She smiled, and disappeared into the sea’s inky depths.
“Wait!” Dean cried. “Sam?”
“I think she’s Otohime. Remember that baby turtle I found and let loose in the ocean?”
“Yeah?”
“It must be her child or something.”
“I think she likes you.” Dean waggled his eyebrows.
Sam rolled his eyes. “Let’s go.”
“Okay.”
They left the beach.
