She watched from across the street as he wandered around, chattered, laughed. She watched him painting the world with his own special colour, making life his own. She watched hopefully, wishing silently that he would glance for just once. But he didn't.
Just when she was going to walk away, as if it was already written in the sky, he turned. Wanting to get something, he crossed the street and stood just meters away from her. She gathered all her courage and approached him.
"Oppa," she called.
He couldn't hear her shaking voice.
"Oppa," she called again, this time a little louder. "Dongwoon oppa,"
He turned around. His eyes met hers. With trembling hands, she took a step closer to him and handed him the present that she had prepared for years. A box full of colourful paper cranes. All folded by herself.
"Here, I made this for you," she said nervously.
He took the gift and admired it. A smile appeared on his handsome face. At last, he looked up and gazed into her eyes. "Thank you," whispered him shyly.
She smiled back.
Everything else blacked out. Nothing else mattered to her anymore. Not even the watching eyes around her. Nothing else, except for the eyes that were locked into hers, and the smile that was carved only for her.
