the perfect end

This is a review for GANTZ: Perfect Answer. By review, I mean this is how I see the movie.

The movie started off with new questions for us. New characters, which got me wondering the significance to the story. Then, there's Kurono Kei, living on with one strong determination in mind with a loved one by his side. Unfortunately for both of them, he has a secret to be kept from her.

GANTZ: Perfect Answer is 141 minutes long. Packed with thrilling, action-packed, heart-stopping and gory scenes, this movie is mind-blowing, especially with the CG effects. You can get drown in the movie, thinking that you are one of them. In between all the adrenaline rush, there are beautiful moments too. Like how Kei shyly asked Tae out. My favourite would definitely be the fleeting moment when Kei is being thrown out from the train during a fight, and he sees Tae in the middle of all the chaos.

Just when you think the movie is starting to get sweet and mushy, they snap you out of your daydreams and put you in yet another bloody battle that makes you cringe. Just when your forehead is all crinkled, your sweats are coming out and your heart is racing, they tug your heartstrings and make you cry. I love how detailed and organized these scenes are inserted in the movie. In two hours and a half, you feel all kind of emotions.

As the story unfolds, your questions are answered slowly one by one. However, it is up to you whether you are clever enough to see the whole point. And at the end of it, the movie leaves you feeling lost, as if half of your soul is taken away, just like how Tae felt. You may not agree with the ending, but to me, there is no ending more perfect than what they give us.

If there is one word to describe GANTZ: Perfect Answer, it would be brilliant.
