I have nothing to do at work... so.
Jess and I agreed to meet up early so we could do toujisouken. I got up early as usual and ended up being somewhat early so I defaulted to MisDo. When Jess arrived we both headed over to the theater and ... I can't remember which came first. Ticket buying or Iri. Ticket buying cause I got handed two of the english flyers for Jess and I. Which would be the only time it happened haha.
Afterwards, I camped out on the Hana no Michi while Jess scurried off to iri. Not minutes after Jess left, I got pounced on by a older Japanese lady next to me. She started to ask me all the usual questions. I was proud that I could answer well enough. Then I got distracted when I saw Michael walk by with Jess in tow. I realised then belatedly that I missed people going in cause I was chatting with the lady. Whoops.
Then we had lunch at ...I forget where. It was nice and had drink bar. I def miss Japanese restaurants with their convenient meal sets. After that it was time to head to the theater for my second viewing of NBN. This time Jess and I were sitting together X3
I admit that I preferred watching the revue from the second floor. I could see everything better and I didn't feel like I was gonna get whiplash. I also knew who I wanted to opera glass this time around. My love for NBN grew even more.
After the show... Jess had to head back to Nagoya. I don't really know what I did afterwards... I think I just headed back to the hostel and talked with my family and friends on Skype. I did ride part of the way with Jess though. But yeah that was Monday.
I shouldn't have been as excited as I was. I only vaugely remembered how exhausting double kangeki was last time, but I figured NBN... COULDN"T GO WRONG.
The first showing I was on the first floor 14th row. The one I managed to pay an aseki price for! It was fantastic. I surprised myself with how quickly I settled into opera glassing bias. I mean. Monako, Michael, Korin-chan (whom surprised me with her cuteness), Shio, and Remi. Remi Remi Remi.
Meguri-ai... like I said is not the kind of show I usually like. But, Beni and Remi kill me everytime. Oh Beni Beni.
Between shows I popped into Izumi's, said hello to Mama-san ... who remembered me after 4 years. I was surprised. I had pudding (which I still maintain is flan...) and poked about the mura before heading in for my second viewing.
The lady next to me decided to try out her eikaiwa skills on me and I went along. She was actually a sora fan too and we bonded. She asked for my email and I gave it to her so we will see if anything comes of it. Then the show started and it was awesome.
I still think that I enjoyed NBN the best from the second floor. I was able to see everyone and everything just fine.
After the show I was to meet up with Maureen cause we were going to go out to a bar. I was kind of hungry so I headed back to MisDo and wrote some letters while I waited for Maureen to get into the mura. We managed to pass each other without noticing which was hilarious. Then we walked over to the station and headed over to the bar.
Now, I can't give away details about it publicly. Sorry... just know that I made a terrible fool of myself in front of Hoshigumi sei, much to their amusement. I got pretty drunk and lost the lens to my glasses. Something I didn't notice till the next morning. Maureen and I discovered that the last train to Umeda wasn't when we thought it was and ended up staying at a hotel nearby. Apparently I snored. Sorry Maureen!
Coming up : The Hunt for The Missing Lens and Typhon in Osaka.
