New York New York

I'm home again after another foray into the concrete jungle. I had a really good past couple of days. Lots of fun and adventures. I stayed with liriblanc as usual, but I also got to meet up with lliri_blanc andhappy_riceball

Friday Sept 24th

I got early in the morning to meet up with happy_riceball  at Kinokunya. I'm really bad at public transportation so I knew I'd mess up somewhere. So I got up early lol Which I indeed did. I got off where I wasn't supposed to and then got turned around looking for the right street. I'm special like that. Eventually I did get to where Katelyn was! We had brunch there and pawed at the kageki and graph that was there. Afterwards we went around in circles trying to find the new location for Book Off.  We did find it though!

I liked new the location. It was bigger and easier to move around in. We tried finding the Takarazuka section in the cds, but there weren't any I think. We asked one of the ladies there and she gave us this look of O_o and then proceed to tease us and called us "maniacs" XD, but she lead us to where they had the VHS tapes and to our wonderful surprise they were only a dollar!!! Between the two of us we cleaned out the section. There were about eighteen tapes and we left only three ^_^;;; I also managed to get the ChaCha movie for about $30 :) The lady that checked me out was a Takarazuka fan and she was getting bouncy at us. She was adorable but clearly embarrassed to have outed herself to her coworkers lol

Afterwards, we went fabric shopping and I got a chance to paw at gorgeous fabric and trimmings. It was lots of fun, but sadly it ended too quickly. Katelyn went home and I got lost on the metro again! :-D I eventually got back to Maggy's place again. I napped for a little while and then we left to go see La Cage Aux Folles.

Maggy had paid for part of my front row ticket as a birthday gift. They were reallly good seats until we realised that people would be seating in front of us in these table seats. The guys that sat in front of us were really tall and blocked our view pretty well for a while :/ I couldn't see half the stage for the first act, but then I switched w/ Maggy and the tall dude moved so I could see better.

The show was loads of fun and I LOVED IT. It is such a good feel show and so well written and acted. It was extremely strange to be soooo close up. I mean I watched Kelsy Grammer as Frasier when I was younger, I never expected to see him so up close in my life ^_^;  Plus the drag queen dancers were really intense to see up close X_X They were really unnaturally pretty and graceful .... and tall.  Plus both Maggy and I got attacked by beach balls that they threw out into the audience. I guess the only sad thing was that I didn't get to see Hodge as Albin. It was his understudy for that night. He wasn't bad and still a lot of fun to watch, but I guess you can't really beat a Tony Award winner...lol

I'd DEF go see this again. Though maybe not front row again....

Maggy then showed me a bit of Star Trek. That was fun lol

Saturday Sept 25th
