45/100 - mad dog pub

Oct 08, 2008 16:54

We had dinner at the Mad Dog Pub. We ate there on impulse; after walking past every restaurant on the river it was the one that stuck out. It seemed like a fun, kitschy, Anglophile thing to do. And I really liked it! The waitresses wore tiny shirts, short kilts and black stompy boots with long socks. The bartender wore a kilt as well. I tried a Hardcore cider, quite delish, and Scotch eggs -- oh so tasty, and we'll just ignore the bangers on the outside, shall we? I followed that up with some of the best fish and chips I've ever eaten. I recommend it!
