1. Werewolves/Shapeshifters 7,4 (Dean Winchester, Crowley)
"What would you give if I could change you back to human?"
Dean groaned as his once-again human muscles protested the movement so soon after the change. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath before replying, "Nothing."
2. (High/classic) Fantasy 2, 5 (Boromir, Luke Skywalker)
"Which are you, sir? Mage or Knight?" Boromir, Captain of the White City was curious. He was supposed to escort the neighbouring Princess and her people. When they had reached the darkest part of the forest, they had been attacked and one of the foreign men used a bespelled sword.
"I wanted to be a knight but my uncle didn't allow me to go. But still, there were friends and wanderers who taught me how to handle a sword." Luke allowed a sad smile to pass his face. "Then my magic broke through and an old master took me in and taught me how to use my powers."
3. Steampunk 1, 9 (Elrond, Erik Lensherr)
Erik was more grateful than he could ever express to his host. To have an undisturbed laboratory where he could create small and useless things, things not meant to hurt - it was heaven. Or, as his host used to refer to his house, a haven for all wanderers. Elrond's hospitality was famous and it became even more so since he started to gift the small wonders Erik created to his guests.
4. Regency 8, 3 (Bruce Wayne, Connor MacLeod)
"You would have me married?" It was not the first time that one of Mr Wayne's friends mentioned marriage to him. However, it was unusual from Mr MacLeod who had lost his wife only recently to sickness.
"I can see how your eyes follow the slender form of Miss Kyle. She would make a lovely wife for you."
Bruce scowled and turned his face to the window to escape his friends sharp eyes. "She has no family to speak of; no fortune and does not care about me."
Mr MacLeod grinned. "I am quite sure the last item of this list is not true."
5. Sci-fi 6, 10 (Tony Stark, Sam Winchester)
"Why do you ride in this?" With these words Tony Stark did not endear himself to SAM.
He still replied because he had to. "It is the only ship that allows all my subrutines and controls to be on-line."
"I could build you a better one," Tony offered as his fingers flew through the control panels and SAM was running an oh-point-one percent faster. "Ghost-ships are targeting my business and I need you to solve it."
SAM had no attachment to this ship, not since his brother-AI, DEAN was put off-line, permanently. And, ghost-ships were why he was created. "Alright," he agreed before Tony Stark could access his main frame through the firewalls and traps.
6. Kids/High School, 4, 6, 8, (Crowley, Tony Stark, Bruce Wayne)
"Bruce-y, Bruuu-cey!" The unofficial prince of the school tried to move faster but Tony was not that easy to lose. Tony leaped forward and hugged Bruce with two hands and one leg, at least. "You are back!"
"Obviously."
"Nah, I mean, now, I have you! I need to threaten Crowley with something awful. And you are that." Tony was a sneaky, smart kid, years younger than the rest of their classmates and he could be vicious and mean if he needed to. Crowley was one of the bullies who never learned - but he backed off if somebody was there to protect the weaker.
Bruce arched an eyebrow and added driely, "Thanks."
7. Magical Girls, 2, 3, 5 , 7, (Boromir, Connor, Luke Skywalker, Dean Winchester)
"We are Honour; Life; Fairness, and Justice," Dean shouted at the monster before pulling his special gun - which only appeared on his body after the transformation was finished - and taking aim. The others' weapons were swords; long, bad-ass swords; but only Justice could reach a further target. They moved into position, making sure Dean was protected but with a clear view before the fight began for real.
8. Genderbending 10 (Sam Winchester)
Sam was too large, and she had too many gun-callouses on her hand for most men. She was smart as well, another bad point, and could never remember if the darker or lighter shade of eye-shadow was supposed to be near to her nose. Hell, most days she didn't even bother with it; ghost-hunting and grave-digging did horrible things to make-up.
9. No Superpowers/Normal Life 1, (Elrond)
Breakfast was a noisy event even with only just the inner family present. Elrond looked around himself with a smile and handed over the salt without waiting to be asked. Twin boys, already old enough to have their own jobs; a daughter who was still the apple of his eyes and a nephew who was more of an adopted son. It was a good life with some problems - like Arwen's smeared lipstick and Aragorn's guilty glances - but he had no regrets.
10. Apocalypse 3, 7 (Connor MacLeod, Dean Winchester)
"You say, the Devil wants to destroy the world."
Dean very carefully nodded. The sword at his neck was sharp and real and he had seen the other man wield it. "You say, you need to talk to Death but he only appears when somebody dies, and you want me to be your labrat. Correct?" More quiet words with a burning anger.
