...Y'know, I seriously don't get why people delete their journals and comms. I mean...what's the point?
Even if I someday had the freakish notion of wiping my personal LJ off the radar, I'd simply remove all userpics and bio info and make every entry private. But when people delete accounts meant for fandom stuff? Or especially comms for fandoms stuff? ...I'm just baffled.
I mean, I've heard of some fanficcers that got original stuff published and wiped their fandom presence from the 'net as best they could (which I don't understand, since if you don't tell anyone then who's to know?), but... *shrugs* And with comms? If you get tired of them, then let them die or pass the torch. I can't imagine how many fics and pieces of art have been lost because someone thought purging and deleting a comm was a grand idea. :\
