Furniture day

Today a moving party consisting of myself, the boyfriend, my oldest brother, my father and my new roommate/ best friend went to retrieve a bed and dresser from roommate's parents. I was intensely surprised and pleased to discover that all the furniture we were taking fit into my parents' full sized van (note, this included an end table for the living room which was not necessarily planned). I've spent the rest of the afternoon/evening/night putting things into the drawers in fits. I put sheets on the bed as soon as it was in the room. The room is still a disaster (we need to organize a lot more before we're done) but I feel so much better that it almost hurts.

I called the "new" O'Charley's on Thursday. They took my information and told me they'd call me soon. I immediately called the "old" O'Charley's and told my "old" GM to be awaiting that call. I figure that in theory I should have a job as soon as paperwork is filled out and settled. As a consequence of loyalty, I figure OC should have first pick (heh) and if I don't hear from them in a few days I'll either call back again and/or start looking for something else. But if I'm just going to stay in food service I may as well stick with a menu I already know. No training (or less at the least) and therefore quicker income... in theory.

Beyond that I can't really claim that I've done much. Mostly it's been bonding time with the apartment dog and one or two outings to food places I have missed. Well, and a movie or two that were exceptional...

I'm sure there should be more but I've stopped paying attention. It's about time to go clean or sort or something.
