College Life and Other Things

I have four weeks left until this semester is over; I'm so happy. Then I can relax. Before I take this thre-month long break, though, I have a lot of stuff to do.

First, Rachel (one of my classmates in Spanish class) and I will complete the workbook for tomorrow's class; then I have to study for Friday's Biology class (oh joy)! I also have to put my final writing project together for my Native-American literature class. I have a Spanish presentation I need to work on as well, and I'm ever so nervous about it. I have to present it in the power point format, and I'm not too familiar with that. I'm good with inserting sound clips, but not text. Plus, the computer that the presentations will be on is not accessible for me. So, I guess I'm going to have to talk with my professor about that.

I've registered for Fall classes, and i'm so excited! I'll be taking African-American literature, Writing Poetry II, Sociology, Religion, and Bowling. That seems like a pretty good schedule to me.

Another thing I'm excited about is I'm almost done with my general ed. I've decided what my major will be; it will be English. The reason for this is I strongly believe that it's my calling. I get an awful lot of pleasure from reading many books and writing and discussing different topics relating to these books and other topics.

I'm getting really frustrated with my process of trying to go to the Seeing Eye in June; all but one reference has responded. I kind of need that response so that they can interview me (preferably at UNCP); then, if my evaluation is great, I can get my physical and be on my way. An aside note: Two of my references are OAndM instructors. Can my third reference be another instructor, or does it have to be a rehabilitation person?

This past Saturday, I attended a Pow-Wow. I tried fried bread for the first time; it was delicious! It's like a really thick version of the funnel cake, except it's in the shape of a rectangle.

Well, I'll post this now, as I have nothing of importance to jot down. Stay blessed.
