As I sit here through a tornado watch, I can’t help but hope that my Urban Politics professor cancels my Downtown Atlanta Walking Tour this morning. Added onto the traffic and the people, a tornado just doesn’t seem like it would brighten my day.
Yesterday, however, was a beautiful day. For the majority of the afternoon I was cooped up inside General Classroom Building practicing for Model UN. By the end of our four-hour session we were spent and ended up giving Mexico and Syria nuclear capabilities while simultaneously eradicating bird flu by decimating all avian creatures. Anywhoo, once Dr. Naim set us free I met Katherine at the park so that we could enjoy the sunshine together.
Once the sunshine decided to go home, I thought I’d do the same so that I could watch the Flavor of Love Reunion Special (more on that sad spectacle later). Rather than scurrying away, though, I stuck around with Katherine. We walked up an appetite and ended up at a cute café on 10th. I wasn’t particularly hungry, but ended up eating off of Katherine’s plate anyway. And when I say I ate off her plate, I mean I literally took my fork and stole food off of her plate, which is something that less awkward people don’t do on dates.
Still expecting to catch the rerun of the Reunion Special and do some reading, I left the café, but ended up sitting in Katherine’s car for another hour and a half. I then made her get out of the car and walk me to my car, which was parked directly five yards away from hers. LOL.
I didn’t get any reading done. I should be doing some right now. I’m looking at the book. It’s open. Page 49. That’s progress.
*closes book and scampers over to the PHE office.
