Thanks to Jeff and Chase, last night I was able to watch the season premiere of The L Word. However, after watching it, I wanted to throw my lifetime gay membership card in the trash. I hated the show and its stereotyped portrayal of lesbians (the crazy/obsessed lesbo, the earthy/spiritual lesbo, the happy/boring lesbo couple). Although I shouldn’t be too upset because The L Word is the only lesbian action I’ve been getting lately; where all the gay women have gone I don’t know, but I’m getting impatient.
**I just received a phone call during which I learned that I may be having sex this weekend**
So, yeah, the girls need to come out and play.
Moving on. Last night I went to Chinese Buddha, ordered a bowl of soup and Crab Rangoon and ended up staying for about three hours, just chilling and talking. The highlight of the evening was my departure, when Gaye and I saw an actual hooker fixing her weave in the doorway of one of the hotel rooms behind the restaurant. We stared at her as blatantly as if she were a part of a Discovery Channel reenactment. She looked right at us too, but we couldn’t help staring in awe. I love the grimy side of Atlanta.
So, um, yeah, classes started today. Clearly I don’t care; I’m out this piece in May, so this semester I don’t plan on doing anything. Well, I think I may have an intellectual crush on one of my professors, so I’ll probably be way extra in that class. The other course is just strange, with my cracker-identified professor making racial self-hatred slurs during class; we’ll see how that one goes.
Tonight brought grocery shopping and a new restaurant discovery.
