Sex Up

Two seconds ago I felt like writing a journal entry, but now I don’t.

My sister’s birthday is Monday, so I’ll be celebrating with her this weekend.  I’ve also decided that I’m taking home some penis models and giving her an all-out spill on safer sex, good sex, bad sex, communication, and relationships.  I’m not holding anything back.  And I expect her to disseminate the information that I give to her to all her little ignorant, STI-ridden friends.  It seems as if no one in that town talks about sex, especially how to make it safer, and this only breeds infections and babies.

I’m not sure there’s anywhere for a young person to go in Fayetteville if they are interested in learning about safer sex, unless it’s at a local clinic where they will speak to some soccer mom twice her age.  Similarly, I highly doubt there’s any outreach toward those questioning their sexuality, either.  Last weekend my mom happened to notice my Alliance button on my purse (I rock it everyday) and she said, “Michelle, you have to wear that in Fayetteville?”  which prompted me to remove the button immediately from  my purse and pin it directly on my shirt.

I’m really going to need for people to be comfortable and open with their sexuality.  If you can’t talk about sex, then clearly you shouldn’t be having it (I’m so channeling Tammy right now).  Just be whatever you’re about - Abstainer, Participator, Receiver, Giver, Reciprocator, Etc.
