Eggs and Hornets

I saw the Green Hornet with my mom tonight. Rented it out of the Red Box thingy in the local Albertson's. I have to say we were both very disappointed in it. It really was one of those movies where all the good stuff was shown in the trailer.

I think the biggest problem I had with it, was that this was supposed to be a serious superhero movie - as it wasn't a parody - and the superhero was an idiot. I'm sorry, but I don't want my superheroes to be bumbling morons. The Green Hornet was a bumbling moron.

I'm sorry, but I want my heroes to be kickass. I don't want just the sidekicks to be kickass.

They kept the Green Hornet pretty much an idiotic slob through out the movie who didn't know how to do anything. This was boring and annoying. He only gets "cool" in the climatic battle and then he screws it up by fumbling. He spent most of the movie screaming in terror.

How is this a hero?!

He is not.

He's a fat bumbling moron pretending to be a hero. This may not be such a problem except for the fact that his sidekick, Kato is so much more badass than he is doing all the impossible flips and kicks and stunts. Meanwhile Britt is busy cowering and screaming. Only when the bad guys are down does he kick them.

I wouldn't mind if Britt started off as an idiot and got better before the climax of the movie. But he doesn't. He just sucks.

I'm seeing X-Men tomorrow, hopefully that'll be better.

OH! Teleport is now up. Who wants to try it with me!?
