[Formatted from teapot log]
Okay, so.
Friday was my friend's birthday, so I took them out to Johnson's Corner for pancakes
There, we were attended by this really cute ickle bluehaired waitress, who seems to be new there, or at least not one we had seen during previous trips. Not a bad addition.
We ordered two short stacks, mine with blueberries, and then a side of cheesesticks [being one of my fatal weaknesses].
My friend requested mountain dew, however as per tradition I requested coffee.
Around about midnight I poured another cup, and then reached over and picked up the maple syrup tin and began pouring some in. Finished.
Set it down.
Then this sudden clarity came over me--
And I just sort of stared at my cup, and the maple syrup..
And back..
Boggling internally.
All the while my friend is looking somewhat askance, like: . o O ( ok i know you do weird things with your food sometimes.. )
And I'm doing my best to remain nonchalent and composed.
But then I am overcome with a case of Shifty-Eyes, so I just kinda sit back and look across the table at my friend and just shrug helplessly, like: "I don't know, man.. i really don't."
As it turns out, it actually tasted pretty good that way. But still. It was all so surreal.
