When we talk, I rarely ever listen

I don't think I've ever had the opportunity of indulging in an uninterrupted conversation.

There seems to be no linear movement of stating a fact/thought/view/question and then hearing the others response/reply/answer/view. It is however interjected with constant intrusions and disruptions of my train of thought with the other person’s subjective statements thrown in like an adornment for the thinking out loud both parties are doing in the so-called conversation. A little politeness wouldn’t go amiss, in allowing my thoughts to come to a conclusion, no matter how misinformed. But I’m not complaining. The interruptions help us both.

Forces me to shut up every once in a while.
