It is freaking cold here today. I am not a fan of the cold at all. The only thing it is good for is as an excuse to snuggle up under a blankie (rhi u know the one I'm talking about) and vegging out. This can be good for a while but it seems I haven't done much of anything else lately. I need to find motivation or at least my muse so I can be somewhat productive.
I have been reading
katiemacalister 'Even Vampire's Get the Blues,' which is part of her Dark Ones series. Her books always crack me up, she has such a quirky sense of humor, I love it. I'll give you one line and see what you think "Run! Run for you lives. Killer butterflies!" How often have you ever heard that line? Exactly. All of the books that I have read by her have the funniest supporting cast. Jim from the Aisling Grey series is prob my fav so far.
I'm also looking forward to the new Anita Blake book 'Flirt' by Laurell Hamilton that's coming out in Feb. I just re-reading Skin Trade (#17 in the series) and find myself with a lot of questions about what's going on in Anitaland. I read the first little bit in a sneak preview on her homepage (here's a link if interested
here ).
There are actually several books coming out in the coming months that I am anticipating in that sitting on the edge of my seat, biting nails kind of way including but not limited to the new Sookie Stackhouse book as well as the new Rachel Morgan book in the Hollows series. If the waiting doesn't kill me 2010 looks like it is going to be a good year for books. We'll just have to wait and see how everything else pans out.
