{Chapter 6}
(gigantic shock for Kim and Ueda as they see their "friends" kissing right infront of them)
*Kim and ueda are Frozen on the spot, not knowing what to do*
Ueda and Kim: ....... *begin to turn around when maru breaks away from joyz*
Maru: Kim! *shocked* K-K-Kim, i can explain!
Joyz: *still dazed, looks up to see Kim and Ueda* Kim! hey! ^_^ Hey Ueda, how'd you get there so fast?-- *looks back at Maru* what-- *looks at maru again and jumps out of his arms onto the ground*
Ueda: what do you mean? i was always here
Joyz: *blushing* o-o-oh, i-i-i see *glances at maru who has also turned red by now * s-s-so, uhh--
*ueda walks over and lightly slaps Maru on the back*
Ueda *Laughing* haha! i'm gald you were here to take care of Joyz while i wandered off. Thanks ^_^
Maru: n-n-no problem
*Ueda leads Maru off to the side while Kim rushes to Joyz*
Kim: Joyz! Are you okay?
Joyz: yeah, but i think i hit my head on the pavement *rubs the back of her head*
Kim: you must have hit it hard. let's get you checked out
Joyz: n-n-no, its okay. i'm okay, see? *gets up off of the pavement trying to walk but flops over into Kim's arms*
Kim: No, you're not okay. we're taking you to the hospital
Joyz: i'm fine really
Kim: yeah, right. you always wobble and fall over when you walk. let's go *Kim slings joyz over her shoulder in a firefighter hold and starts walking*
Joyz:O_O *surprised* couldnt you just sling my arm around your neck and let me attempt to walk?!
Kim: why would i make you suffer like that? Plus, this is fun ^_^
*Kim and Joyz walk by Maru and Ueda*
Maru: *opens his mouth but doesnt say anything*
Ueda: i wont ask what you're doing
Kim: good *walks ahead of them* We're going to the hospital. you coming or what? you did cause this *glances coldly at ueda*
Ueda: -Sigh- okay-- but let me carry her----
Maru:--or me
Kim: *looks back at the two of them in a cold stare* no thanks
Ueda: But--
Kim: Dont patronize me boy. Plus, you'll ruin all the fun! ^_^
*Kim walks off with Joyz on her Shoulder*
Ueda and Maru: O_O
*walks after Kim*
* Kim, Ueda and Maru are in the waiting room of the hospital*
Kim:*glancing at the pages of a magazine*
Ueda:*tossing his hair aside from time to time*
Maru:*nervously flipping open his phone and snapping it shut every few seconds*
*kim stops flipping through the magazine and glares ar Maru, who stops immediately*
Kim: Damn straight >.>
Ueda: How long does it take to see if she hurt her head?
Kim *side glares Ueda* you see, they have to do all these scans and tests to make sure she didnt have a concussion or have any internal bleeding that can cause an aneurysm or problems later in her life, no??
Ueda: oh....
*just then the Doctor comes into the waiting room*
Kim: *jumps up* Doctor! how's Joyz?!
Doctor: are you family? *looks at Kim, ueda and Maru*
Kim: of course, cant you see the resembelance?
Doctor: uhhhh--
*ueda pulls the Doctor aside and talks to him in a hushed voice*
Ueda: Gomen nasai doctor,dont tell her, but she's adopted. Oka-san didnt want her to be the odd one out of the family if she knew she was adopted, so we told her that she's just like us-- but she is family.
*the doctor looks at Kim with a puzzled look*
Doctor: oh-okay.
Kim so? how is she?
Doctor: O_O uhh-- *clears throat* she's doing rather well. she doesnt have any problems, just complaining of a little chest pain, but i perscribed her some medication for it, you just have to pick it up in an hour and we're all set.
Kim: so she can sign out?
Doctor: i dont see why not.
Kim: good-- *Kim, Ueda and Maru begin to walk to Joyz's room*
Doctor: only one person at a time
Kim: *looks back at the two of them* i'll just be a minute. Ueda, Sign her out of here. after this, we'll get something to eat, k?Wait here.
*kim walks off ahead and around the corner to joyz's room and knocks on the door*
Joyz: *from inside the room, faintly heard* come in
*Kim opens the door and leans on the door frame*
Kim: how you doing?
Joyz: *sitting up on the hospital bed in the hospital garments* i'm doing well, i told you, i dont need to be here, see? i can walk! ^_^ *Joyz stands up and walks arcoss the room* see?
Kim: ^_^ good. the doctor said you can sign out, so get your stuff and change and we can go okay? we need some food in us! ^_^ we'll wait in the room outside, k? dont take too long. *Kim walks off back to the waiting room*
*ueda and maru are pacing in the waiting room, both look up at Kim*
Ueda: So?
Kim: she's good ^_^ i told her to hurry out so we can grab something to eat, i'm starving =]
Maru: me too *rubs his stomach* oh-- i need to use the toilet.
Kim: Down the hall, around the corner, about 5th door on the right, it has the toilet symbol, you cant miss it.
Maru: K *walks off in the direction Kim pointed out*
Kim hmmmmm....... -Sigh- *sits down on the nearest chair*
Ueda: what's wrong?
Kim: Nothing, dont worry about it
Ueda: your lying to me. there's no such thing as a woman sighing and not having a problem on their mind, so i learned. what is it?
Kim: *sideways glances at ueda*you've been taught well
Ueda: so? what is it?
Kim: ....... i just keep thinking back to the scene at the water side
Ueda: .....oh, yeah, that.
Kim: ...yeah, that.....ugh
*ueda looks over to see Kim's head in her hands*
Ueda: are you okay?!
Kim: i'm fine. havent you ever gotten a headache before? it's normal, relax.
Ueda: oh, okay. yeah. hmmm. i heard that massaging the forehead helps a lot. may i?
Kim: >.> okay
*ueda prompts Kim to lay her head on his lap, and starts massaging Kim's forehead*
*after a little while has passed, Ueda looks hopefully at Kim's closed eyes, face relaxed slightly, bringing his own face closer to hers*
Ueda: does it help?
Kim: hmmm...... it actually works.
Ueda: i thought so ^_^
*Maru walks around the corner of the hallway and walks on only to see a door cracked open and Joyz getting her jacket on*
Maru: *walks over to Joyz's door and knocks lightly*
Joyz: *back turned to the door* I wont be long Kim, just give me a minute--
*Joyz turns around to see maru at the door*
Joyz: -- maru!, what are you doing here?
Maru: i was on my way to the toilet. listen, i wanted to talk to you about what happened at the pier....
Joyz: me too---
Maru: listen. i know you werent in the right frame of mind, i mean, you thought i was Ueda Tatsuya for crying out loud! but i'm not going to hold it against you.
Joyz: uhh..... *at a loss for words* Nakamaru-san..... *Joyz looks down at the floor, not wanting to look up*
Maru: i think we should forget the entire thing
Joyz: *snaps her head up to look at Maru, who's not even facing her directly* What?
Maru hmm. we should just forget that it ever happened.
Joyz: b-b-but why?
Maru: *turns to face Joyz head on* Listen Joyz, you're a great girl and all, and any man would be blessed to have you as you are. you're amazingly smart and not to mention beautiful--
Joyz: why are you saying this to me?!
Maru: --because we cant be together! i'm sorry Joyz, but i'm in love with Kim, and i cant do that to her. i have to be true to my heart, and my heart says that i love Kim. Joyz--
*Joyz turns away to stop from showing Maru what her facial expression is-Betrayal*
Maru: --Joyz, i'm sorry. i'm truly, deeply sorry, but this cant happen, espcially not now. i just discovered my love for Kim and i havent had a chance to tell her yet---
Joyz: *barely audible* you love her, dont you?
Maruu: O_O what?
Joyz: *turns around to face maru slowly, trying to hide her face in her hair slightly* You love her a lot, dont you? i mean, you really love her
Maru: -- i - i guess i do. i really do
Joyz: *sniff* okay... okay, i'll forget about it. all of it.
Maru: Joyz.....
Joyz: no no, it's okay, seriously. there are other fish in the sea, right?
Maru: *smiles weakly* yeah, there is...
Joyz: then i'll just pursue them. hmm! *Joyz looks up with a determined look in her eye*
Maru: good. i'm glad =] you know what? why dont you go for Ueda? i heard, no, i know, he's single.
Joyz: haha, okay. i'll try that then. Thank you.
Maru: hmm. common, let's go.
*joyz walks over to maru in the door frame and both of them walk down the hallway, with Maru's around Joyz's Shoulder back to the waiting room*
Maru: *looks down at Joyz* Friends?
Joyz: haha, friends ^_^
*Maru and Joyz turn the corner to see Ueda leaning into Kim, who's head on his lap, trying to kiss her*
Joyz: ekk!
*Kim opens her eyes to see a surprised ueda's face merely inches away, and then she turned her head back to see the upside down Maru and Joyz, with Maru's arm around Joyz's shoulder*
