AC post?
Kind of. :) Mostly pictures I think, but also a quick super long overview. o______o
I arrived Tuesday in Buffalo and met up with a Rob there (straight from China!) and two dargons, nambroth and eldarath. <3 They drove us to their place and we went to sleep. :)
Wednesday was rental car pickup and the drive to Pittsburgh through AMISH COUNTRY. I kept my eyes peeled, but alas, no Amish showed their faces.
We split up, Nam and Eld to go check in at the hotel, and me and Rob to the airport to pick up a rah_bop. After some GPS fudgering, we finally arrived at the hotel (after getting a near bird's-eye view of the city...) and got our stuff in. Rah decided she needed to move the furniture.

We met up with vantid after she got off the shuttle from the airport, got dinner, and went back to the room to settle in before the other half of our group came. ;)
Thursday, dustwing and voidsiphonsaire and sakuranym_kit and spike2887 got in while Rah, Rob, and I were food shopping at Whole Foods for... food.
I don't really remember what we did. I think we went to go set up? Anyway, we needed to make it to dinner before everything in Pittsburgh closed (at like 7...), so we scooted on over to a really tasty (and relatively cheap) Indian place near the convention center. It was really really good. Sadly Rob was not with us because he was jetlagged the hell out. D: Also, NAM KNOWS HOW TO EAT.
Friday was art show setup, and I just wanted to say that I've never been late to my table on the first day of the con, ever, until this AC. o_o Oops! :P I guess I underestimated how much time it would take to set up the art show.
Anyway, tables! Kit, Dust, me, and Nam were in a row, then Rah was further down the dragon aisle (they stuck us all together), and Vannie was far, far away. ;_; But that's okay, we ran over to steal her power every so often. <3 I paid the electricity fee in backrubs.
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday were kind of a blur. o_o Con is normally like that. I know I saw lanakila a lot, and likeshine and painteddog and tyrrlin and astralabortion and maggock and starquill and missmonstermel and a number of other people also. Sorry if I can't remember everyone, it seems like it was a super long time ago now. o_o

Saturday night, we all split up after dinner: Rob and I went to the fireworks; Kit, Dust, Saire, and Spike went to 2's show; and Nam, Eld, Vannie, and Rah went to their panel. We all showed up at the panel by the end though, and gifted each other BADGES OF D: (hehehehe).
Sunday morning I took Rob to the airport ;_; and then finished up the con. Dinner was at a neat brewery that is a converted church:
with Kit, Spike, Dust, Saire, digitalis, nemmy, skulldog and her man, fishy_boner, chaoseven, and like 10 other people I didn't know. Crazy.
Monday was pack tiem and National Aviary! I took a TON of bird pictures. I was happy to see that most of the birds from last year were still there, and they had a new penguin exhibit!
It was awesome. They had pop-up tubes. This picture CRACKS ME UP. XD
This Victoria crowned pigeon had the hots for Rah. He was displaying and everything!

Then we drove back to Nam & Eld's and ate at Sprague's, an awesome local restaurant specializing in maple syrup and turkey. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Tuesday we just sat around and recuperated from the con. Eld started mowing the lawn but I wanted to try too. :D

Dinner was nommy deer burgers with delicious onion goop. Sadly I was sick because apparently I am completely unused to malt alcohol (even though sake is fine) and/or the sugar content... or something. D:
Wednesday was Allegheny State Park, with Thundering Rocks and stuff. We climbed a lot and those of us with cameras took a lot of macro shots of moss and things. Like this one.
Then we climbed rocks. Mike is proud. XD
(Jason and I ended up climbing this one too! It was fun)

Not the best focus, but it's the only picture with all of us. <3
Also, we dug up a geocache. That was neat. I left my Muir Woods brochure from when I went earlier this year. ;) There was also this awesome doe that followed/circled/paralleled us. She even followed us back to the road and walked with us for a while. :)
Dinner was homemade kalbi, marinated the night before by me and Liv. It turned out okay, imo. ;) I tried to do what I could with the meat, but it wasn't pounded thin enough. Doh. I'll try to do better next time.
Dessert was nommy gluten-free chocolate chip cookies with flax meal. <3 Mmmmm.
Thursday was Letchworth State Park, "the Grand Canyon of the East". Waterfalls and canyons and turkey vultures <3
Also, on the way back, there were AMISH. AAAAAAAAAMISSSSSHHHHHHHH.
(Hard to get a good picture of them though, as I was in the back seat and we were going pretty fast)
We stopped by Nam's parents' place and explored her cellar and attic and dogs and threw some mutant poppy petals on Jason's head. :D
Dinner was Rah's butternut squash and cinnamon soup with apples, and Nam's mom's awesome grape leaf rolly-things. :D With yogurt. I forgot what they were called again.
Friday was WEDDING DAY. I took a crapton of pictures that day, mostly of similar things, so instead I'll just post one. :P

Dinner was at the restaurant where these pictures were taken. ;) Lebanese chicken over roasted vegetables and pasta, rotini with meatballs, salad, nommy bread, and fruit. Basically, nothing Liv could eat. ;_; Then, home to draw and play some D&D! Spike is the best bard EVAR.
Saturday we said bye to Kit and Spike, then basically vegged around the house. ;) We went to the farmer's market where I bought stuff from the Amish woman (my first whoopie pie, and elderberry pie too), played Liv and Jason's campaign (I found out I was highly effective XD), and drew. Dinner was Vannie's buffalo burgers and black bean curry soup. YUM. I didn't think I was hungry (I'd been snacking on chips and salsa :D), but dang, that stuff was amazing.
Actually, all the food I had (minus mine) was amazing. Haha. XD
Sunday morning we went shooting, and Nam's dad brought like my favorite guns ever. Shotgun, sniper rifle, magnum. XD I was giddy. Vannie and I were like jumping at every opportunity to shoot. I apparently suck at moving targets though, doh... though I seem to be good with aim otherwise. ;)
Then off to the airport to go home. ;_;
Though not quite yet... My flight from Buffalo to Atlanta was fine, but then in Atlanta, I tried to get on an earlier flight home. I should have pushed harder for it, because when it came around to my flight, the sky was dark and stormy and they closed the airport because there were lightning strikes on the airstrip. o________o So instead I sat there for an extra hour or so, watching this amazing thunderstorm that I wanted to be running around in. :D
Anyway, eventually they opened it up again, and our pilot was all sorts of awesome, because he managed to get us first in line out of the airport, and also managed to keep our destination airport open until we arrived (SNA closes at 11pm). He GUNNED it through storm clouds, in his words, drilling our way through the clouds. We had lightning flashes on both sides of the plane and it was pretty rough for the first half hour. I kind of wish I was sitting at a window seat, but as it was, I could still see the lightning. Amazing. :) Scary too, but obviously we made it out okay.
And then Rob came to get me and I was good. <3
Oops, that came out longer than I thought it would. Oh well, so it goes. ;) I'm hungry now, so Imma go snack on something while I wait for Rob to get home. We're gonna celebrate being home together, after a month of being apart. <3
