Part 1:
I uploaded art. :3 It's all from the FC art show, so you can skip this section if you've already seen it. XD
All descriptions are copy-pasted from DA, so apologies for like... DA-type stuff. :)
貓苗
Original piece, done for the FC2009 Art Show. This was sold there (yay!).
I figured I should put some of my childhood teachings to use. ;) It's been a long time since I painted with a traditional brush, but apparently my hands still remember most of the form. :P The Chinese reads "貓苗" (mao1 miao2), which means "cat sprout", and I found it amusing cuz they're essentially the same character, just with a different radical. ;) And the other Chinese, in the red box? That's my name. :3

O HAI
Original piece done for the FC2009 Art Show. Random kittygirl says hi. :)
This one was NOT sold, so if you like it, message me. :P
Couple of personal landmarks for this piece. 1) One of my first full-color marker pieces EVER, and 2), OMG BOLD COLORS XD

The Fox and the Butterfly
Original piece done for the FC2009 Art Show. Inspired by a good friend, even if she doesn't know it. ;) This was sold not during the bidding, but actually afterwards, when it was sitting on my table. XD;
See the butterfly? :3
This was my first planned piece for the art show, so it was a little more... planned? XD Not sure. It was my first finished marker piece though, so that was neat. Also, if you hold it up to the light, it GLOWS. XD

兩條魚
Original piece for the FC2009 Art Show. This was sold. :)
The Chinese on this reads, "兩條魚" (liang3 tiao2 yu2), which means "two fish".
(Quick Chinese lesson: When counting in Chinese, you have to use counting words, so literally this is, "two [counting word for fish] fish". :P There are also counting words for other animals, people, cars, beds, houses, long and thin things, flat things, short and flat things, etc.)
Also? Fish are surprisingly hard to paint in one stroke. >.>

蜻蜓扇
Original piece done for the FC2009 Art Show. I didn't make the fan, I just painted on it. =P It has a long handle too, but you can't really see in this pic.
This was NOT sold at FC, so if you like it, send me a message. XD;
The Chinese reads, "蜻蜓扇" (qing1 ting2 shan4), or "Dragonfly Fan". I know, I'm original with names. :D Little dragonfly is sitting on a new-blooming orchid. ;)
Oh, and I take commissions for these. I only have 8 blank ones left. Note me if you're interested. ;)

麻雀扇
Original piece for the FC2009 Art Show. This one was sold after the show ended, to a friend. :3
The Chinese reads, "麻雀扇" (ma2 chue4 shan4). 麻雀 is sparrow, and 扇 is fan. With bamboo. :3 This fan also has a long handle, which you can't see here.

Part 2:
Thanks for all the interest in recipes! XD Here's a first one, a pretty common one, but one I made last night:
Homemade spaghetti sauce (chunky!)
(This is exactly what I used, because this is what I had on hand. :P You can mess with the proportions however you like)
5 Roma tomatoes
1/2 green bell pepper
3-4 cloves garlic
1 small yellow onion
About 8-10 smallish mushrooms, maybe half a pound?
Tomato paste
water
salt & pepper
oregano
basil
Dice up the tomatoes, bell pepper, and onion (keep them in separate piles! :P). Slice the mushrooms, chop up the garlic.
Heat up some olive oil (or normal vegetable oil) in a saucepan. When it's hot, put your onion and garlic in, and when you dump them in, remember to keep the chopping board between yourself and the pan, cuz when the veggies hit the oil, it'll spit and spatter. o.o Turn the heat to mediumish.
After your onions have just started to turn translucent, throw in your mushrooms and cook for a little bit longer.
After your mushrooms have softened, throw in your tomatoes and bell peppers. The tomatoes will release a lot of water, and you want them to. You want a sauce, after all. :3 After maybe a few minutes, after they've started to release some of their water, put in about 3 Tbsp of tomato paste. If it looks like it's going to be too dry, feel free to put in some water, too (I think I put about half a cup in). This'll need to cook for a while, until the tomatoes and bell peppers are soft.
Throw in whatever dried herbs you might have. I had oregano and basil, so I put in maybe half a tsp of each. I could have also put in my Italian Herb seasoning, but I figured I'd leave that for next time. XD
At this point, while the tomatoes are stewing, I put in salt and pepper to taste. (Actually, since I normally cook very very blandly, I needed Rob to come help me taste test XD)
I think the cook time was about 20 min? I don't remember. XD Anyway, keep it on medium heat until it reaches the consistency that you like. Use with spaghetti, lasagna, whatever. :3
This recipe is vegan and gluten-free. You just have to watch what you put it on. ;)
I'll post something a little bit more interesting next time. XD;
