Sleepy...

I had a nice, if mostly sleepless, day yesterday.

I got off work a little early to get errands done, and then re-joined
nissinirvani in bed for some sleepy cuddles before she abandoned me to go shower while I squeezed in a little more rest.

Eventually, though, I had to get up, so we went to get lunch, and then she had to get to work. I tried to be productive, and did get some bills sent out, but at three I called B@ to see if she wanted me to come see her. Turns out she did, so I grabbed a shower and headed up to Muncie.

When I got there, we hung out for a while, drank tea, and snacked on fried sweet potato nubbins, but after a while we realized that her son hadn’t come home yet from his swim class, so we went to investigate. Turned out he had a big swim meet he’d neglected to tell B@ about, so we hung out for a few hours and watched the competition, and then
B@ brought us out to eat.

After dinner, we hung out at her place for a while, but eventually I had to head home to go to work. By that point, though, I was so tired that I had to keep pulling over to keep from driving off the road, so next time I need to either get more sleep before my plans, or leave earlier before I’m a zombie.

However, I hadn’t seen B@ for months, and it was nice to catch up with her and learn the progress of her marriage, which seems to be going well, even though her husband is still schooling in New York and can only pop in for little visits. Still, she seems happy, which makes me happy.

Now, however, I must sleep.
