Week in Review

This has been a pretty good week. Tuesday I went to the dentist about the pain I’m having with one of my temporary crowns. I was worried I’d need another root canal, but it turned out all I needed was a bite adjustment. W00t! Work sucked, because I have to get used to the busier earlier schedule, but I took the night to myself afterward, so that was good for recharging and getting laundry done.

Wednesday my date got cancelled, so I used the time to reorganize the bookshelf in my bedroom, come up with a list of comic TPBs I own and need, and get in some pleasure reading - I *finally* finished Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, as well as the first 100 pages of Penny Arcade Volume 2: Epic Legends Of The Magic Sword Kings. Harry Potter left me interested but a little melancholy, so laugh-out-loud Penny Arcade goodness was just the ticket before bed.

Last night lildomino and I had plans to go out to dinner, but she is feeling sickly, so we stayed in and had Chinese food delivered so she could avoid the cold and elements. She has a ton of studying to do for school, so I kept her company and fucked around on my laptop while she went over her physiology notes for an upcoming test. She fell asleep on the floor while we played the “I’m waiting for you/no, I’m waiting for YOU” game, so finally we both crawled off to bed.

Today I’m up early because lildomino had a fever that drove her out of bed for more medicine, and for the first time since my bite adjustment my teeth were hurting badly enough that I had to take my generic not-Vicodin (hydrocodone). The lack of sleep will prolly make me drowsy tonight for my date with Mika, but with luck by this point we’re hanging out enough that she’ll be OK with seeing me when I’m not at my best.

While everyone in the universe seems to want to do stuff with me next weekend, this weekend is pretty activity-free. I thought about going out Saturday and trying to organize a role-play night Sunday, but I haven’t been motivated to contact people and make plans. I’m getting to like the less action-packed, unstructured time I’ve had lately, alone and with others, and I’m leaning towards scheduling less and just going with the flow, even if that means “wasting” weekend time.

Obama for President!
