A Little Somethin' For Yer Friday...
Not much is often said about the healing powers of Metal. I've just gotten over having the flu for most of a week, and I was survived on a regimen of water, chicken soup, serious movies (couldn't laugh too much), and power metal. Power metal is the unsung hero of modern metal, brimming with heroes, quests, melody, and super hammy guitar work.
Lost Horizon's wall-smashing opus "A Flame To The Ground Beneath" is easily one of the best metal albums I've ever heard (and I've heard a lot). Their melodies are bright, powerful and optimistic, which just what I want out of a power metal band, plus their singer has some serious pipes. Since it got me through the roughest week I've had in a good long while, I figured I should share it with whoever's out there.
So in case any of you are having trouble waking up this Friday morning, here's a little shot of Lost Horizon to start the day on a good note. In my perfect world, this would be a radio hit. Enjoy!
