50th Day in Japan!

 So, I might be going to Osaka this weekend (with my friend Madoka!!!)  to see 砂月様 Satsuki's small part in some sort of gay concert/fashion show thing... and by gay I mean homosexual... like maybe they're promoting that?  I'm not really sure, I'm just going to see Satsuki.  However, this does lead me to to wonder... is he gay?  This could be a problem for me as I have already chosen him to be my future husband ^__^
Although realistically I guess it won't matter >.>;;;

Today at school was matsuri 祭り!  Lots of different clubs 部 making food and trying to get people to buy it.  One of the few times that people outside of ICL would approach you, trying to speak strange English "you, go, eat... good!"  They were loud and strange and a little overwhelming.  The food was a little over priced, but it was fun to see classmates/friends.
I also went to a new (to me) restaurant for the first time, with a couple of friends... it looked a bit "washoku" like b/c there was no menu outside or plastic food in the window... no window really either... just noren hanging down.  It was Japanese BBQ and I did most of the talking to the Japanese cook/waiter (we were the only ones in the restaurant!) and we couldn't read the menu so I just said "what are your recommendations" and somehow from there got it so that the cook decided what to bring us ^_^  and that is how I came to eat cow tongue for the first time.  It was sliced thinly so that it could cook, so it wasn't too bad.  In fact, except for the strange super-chewy parts it was really yummy.  And b/c we aren't yet skilled with the ways of the little mini table grill, we burned a lot of meat XD  So that experience might've even been more fun than matsuri.
Afterwards I wanted desert, but it was too cold (so flippin' cold tonight!) to eat the taiyaki (fish shaped sweet bread things) so we just went to the local スーパー, Fresta, and I ended up buying 10 boxes of Macadamia chocolates XD  they were 10yen cheaper than yesterday so I got a little carried away.  I got some strange looks.  A girl carrying quite a large quanitity of chocolate around - on top of that buying in bulk is not really done in Japan - that I've noticed.

Tomorrow is the 3rd day off from school, and I have lunch plans to eat okonomiyaki お好み焼き... lots of cabbage!  silly Hiroshima okonomiyaki v.v  yummy but seriously, all that cabbage!  It's slightly traumatic to someone who doesn't eat many vegetables.  I'm not sure why I so willingly agreed to go eat this XD
And then tomorrow night I'm making some american mac&cheese as my contribution to a little dinner get together at the chinese exchange student's apartment.  We'll see how that goes, 6 people cramming into their very small 狭い room.

now I should sleep b/c I need to wake up earlier to walk to flippin' Hondori, the Hiroshima shopping district/road place... like half hour walk from the 会館 kaikan.
