Found a new thrift today when I made a wrong turn on my lunch hour from the Mountain View office. Turned the corner and there it was... a St. Vincent Depaul just waiting to be pillaged. I pulled into the lot and flew through the door just as The Zombies - Time of the Season came on the thrift stereo. It was that rare kind of sublime moment when your hopes and reality overlap for a few brief moments. Like a homing pidgeon I found my way to the stacks of dusty records. There were even secret bins of records inside drawers underneath the display for me to peruse after I went through the easily accessible ones up top. I started in straight away on the first stack I saw but got this feeling like I should start at the opposite side so I did. The Zombies kept playing. Not 3 records in on the crate I chose, I hit pay dirt.
