Silverdocs Documentary Festival Is for the second year calling for green-themed documentary projects.

Applications are being accepted through May 4, 2012.

Silverdocs 2012 take place on June 18-24.

Silverdocs is accepting applications from filmmakers who are looking for grant money towards the development and/or completion of original green-themed documentary projects.

Projects should be feature films in development, in production or post-production that focus on environmental themes. Projects to be considered will address "green" topics large or small - that relate in a significant way to the environment.

Examples include (but are not limited to) food, farming, water, pollution, waste, land preservation, climate change, natural disasters, energy conservation and alternative fuel sources. The film should tell a compelling cinematic story that has the power to inform, motivate or inspire positive action.

The Silverdocs Green Grant will support two documentary projects in this 2012 round. One project in development and one in production or post-production. Each project will receive a $25,000 grant. Applicants will be notified of their status by June 11, 2012.
