Cordell's letter

It's started.

Marlene,

No doubt by now dad's told you why I didn't come to Hogsmeade. I would apologize, but I'm not sorry. You should come home. I know you're settled at Hogwarts and in that life, but this is better for you. Remember how you wanted to be a Marine Biologist? Or what about how you liked music a lot? You don't have music classes at Hogwarts, do you? You could do that again. There's plenty of opportunities back home, with your family, where you're safe. Look at dad, he chose the Muddle Muggle life, and loves it.

Come on home for a bit. Help me with my campaign for Parliment. That's right, I'm going to run for Parliment. I was going to tell you at Hogsmeade. You'd be such a great help to me. You'd be a fantastic speech writer. You know how to get a crowd all riled up.

I'd be willing to deal with you staying until Christmas break. How does that sound? Make it to Christmas (unless I read your wizard paper and things get worse), then just don't go back. That'd be easy for you.

I love you and miss you,
Cory

The nerve of him. Telling me what's best and easy for me.

Maybe I just won't go home at Christmas. Really stick it to him.

Maybe he has a point

Lionel, by the way, I have no idea how the entire castle found out. I only told Dorcas and Amelia.

...

Okay. So that's how they found out. *wipes face with hand* Sorry.
