Scary situation. I didn't see the news on this until 11 pm last night. You were the first person I thought of. Glad you made it home. I realize down your way that your cities are unprepared for something like this. It has been a bad winter, Please stay safe and warm.

Indeed!! The storm was expected and hit right on schedule. I stayed home so I was fine but it was an EPIC FAIL on Atlanta's part for many reasons and a variety of contributing factors.

It's been a very cold, rough Winter all over the country. Thanx so much for thinking of me and for your concern. Ditto on staying safe and warm.

:( I was so saddened by all the children that couldn't get home to their parents, the accidents and the people stranded.

It doesn't make sense to have enough salt/grit trucks and snowplows for the few times such a weather event will happen in the South, but something needs to be worked out to prevent this chaos and traffic issues from happening again.

I'm glad you're okay!!

It was difficult watching the news all day, learning what people were going through. :( In the aftermath it's been touching to hear stories of good samaritans and great acts of kindness.

We're tied with L.A. for the worst traffic in the country - add snow to sub freezing temps and it created a perfect storm.

It was crazy! We get snow so infrequently, it'd be nice to be able to enjoy it sans the drama.

I hate FB, it's so not LJ.

I've been MIA on here for a loooooong time b/c I work a lot but I'm trying to reconnect and have a little play time. Very glad you x'd my path. :D
