Mother's Day
Today I'm in Hayward - visiting with the 'rents. It seems that we couldn't get reservations at the restaurant my mom wanted to go to for Sunday, so we're going today.
At first I didn't want to waste a whole Saturday, but I'm glad that I came. It's nice weather here and I'm doing my laundry in a machine that hasn't had pissy diapers or puked on rugs in it.
I need to make more of an effort to get away on weekends - they have become far too predictable. It's been so cold here though - I mean, we're still running our furnace late at night and early in the morning. I can't remember ever doing that here in Berkeley in May. Up in Arcata, maybe, but not here.
