Prompt: Okay, I am really in the mood for some epic Spain/Romano angstyness, here.
So, this is my idea:
Romano is in love with Spain, but believes that Spain is in love with his brother (whether he really is or not is up to anon). Since Italy is with Germany, Romano decides to seduce Spain and start a sexual relationship with him, because he thinks that's it's the only way he'll ever be able to do such things with Spain. This new addition to their relationship causes Romano to start becoming depressed, as he feels that his love will always be unrequited in addition to his already strong inferiority complex, and their friendship begins to dissolve as well, to the point where they really only see or talk to one another when there's sex involved. Happy ending or not is completely up to anon, honestly I just want something that will break my heart and make me want to cry.
