UNTIL MY BIRTHDAY!!! that's what's actually important this time of year! actually, christmas was really good this year, i think it was the best christmas ever. mike got food poisoning on christmas eve so he was puking the whole evening, but he felt a lil better on christmas, which is always a plus. we both made out pretty well though in the end. we got tons of stuff for our place: a blender, a slicer, a food processor, pepper, salt and pepper shakers, an electric pepper grinder, bbq grilling stuff, a blanket and a comforter cover. I got an ipod mini from my dad, a computer case with my monogram on it from my grandma, clothes that are surprisingly really cute, ugg boots and shoes, ummmm....socks, a 40 gallon lizard tank, a couple cds and movies, a new coat that is really cute, mike got me a new deck for my car which i am super excited about, and a few other lil things. Mike got one of the real ipods, a gameboy double screen from me, and all kinds of cooking stuff and cds considering his got stolen a couple weeks ago. but yeah, christmas was great aside from the gifts too. it was nice to see all of my family and extended family and to have a couple days off work. i needed that lil break.
anyway, now i go to work for two days, get my birthday off, and then work for 2 more days to have new years eve and new years day off. :) yay! this week is the best week of the year...the parties and the fun just keep going. so on my birthday, the plan is to go to the city and go to bennihanas (in memory of poor bennihana the fish: may he rest in peace), and then to walk around the city. I don't think I am actually going to have time to make it back to petaluma that day, considering I have to work at 4am. I would love to see my family, but i just saw them yesterday.
And the plan for new years: apparently, we're going to stay at the hilton in union square, and just take it from there. our plan for last year was very similar and ended up being a pretty cracked out night. mike is a lil nervous. He has yet to meet aria, and from the stories I have told him, he's a lil worried about what might go down on new years. Hopefully it stays pretty calm. I am old now, and honest to god am in bed by like 9pm. In addition, my liver has been on a break for awhile, and I don't know how much alcohol it can tolerate. we shall see.
