Ethics and various other sundry questions.

So.
Y'all know that I hate Joss Whedon with the fire of a thousand suns and have vowed to never support any of his projects.
But his latest web project has two actors I really, really like, and one I kind of like.
Ok, it's Neil Patrick Harris. He's playing Dr. Horrible. And he sings. And I love everything that he does, even that kitchy Celebrity question thing. He's made of awesome. He's A-1. And this would get me through the summer doldrums until HIMYM premiered and I could watch Barney and Robin make out all the time, b/c you know that's where the show is going, and not soon enough in my opinion.
It also has Simon Helberg, who's on the Big Bang Theory, which I really enjoy (both are on monday nights on CBS-who knew CBS had something for the under 50 crowd that doesn't involve crime?) and Nathan Fillion, who I've always enjoyed as an actor (no, not on Firefly, b/c I hate Firefly on general principle) I liked him on the late, lamented Drive, I considered watching Desperate Housewives again when I found out he was on it (the suck that is the rest of the cast couldn't make up for it, though) and I *loved* him in Waitress.
So, there it is. Joss Whedon is doing another project, and I vowed to never support anything of his ever again, because I'm not a fan, I'm a fanatic. I get emotionally involved with fictional characters, and when things don't go how I want them to go, I get really, really upset with the creator, and blame them for the suffering of said fictional character. I never said I was healthy.
So. Here's my ethical conundrum: Does the combined awesome of NPH, Simon Helber and Nathan Fillion counter the magnitude of suck that is Joss Whedon? Or does Joss suck SO HARD that I can't watch this?
This is addressed to the, like, four of you that understand my pain.
Season five of Angel, man. Season seven of Buffy. It still kind of hurts.
