Long time no post...I know...but I have been busy!
Well, I've been busting a hump at two jobs for 6 months to ensure that the proper ends are properly met. I was finally able to say goodbye to JoAnn's because my job role at TSC has changed yet again and because the work environment at JoAnn's was become a bit to unstable for my tastes...there was more drama in the last three months there than in my entire 6 1/2 years at TSC. That and the fact that Aaron has now officially moved in and will be contributing to the monthly debt, have taken a great weight off my shoulders. Now if I could figure out a way to get Alex out of my life and off the house note without putting myself in further financial debt...things would be swell.
Things continue to go well for Aaron and myself. We have a few things to get used to about each other, but we're working on them...AND COMMUNICATING>>>YAY We have some plans to go to Kentucky Kingdom next month and our 6 month anniversary is coming up on August 14th. It seems like this year is just flying. I'm just gratefull to have found him. He is so great!
I've recently been able to acquire some new furniture after having been without since Alex moved out. I finally have a really nice table that I love for the dining room and a very comfy couch with nice end tables and lamps. Things are slowly coming together.
Now, as for aforementioned work changes...they have broken up my wonderful group of 6 1/2 years and took everyone but myself and my pricing team co-worker to accounting (doesn't really make much sense to me, but whatever!) Now I report directly to the vice president of merchandising. I'll supposedly be getting a new manager by next year but I'm not sure they person they're looking for exists. We'll see. I've been informed that I will be taking on additional responsibilities and will be up for future promotions...but not for the one that is available right now that I've been working towards forever. I'm of mixed feelings. It always seems I can't have the position I want here...they come so far and few between and when the do become available...there's some crisis and I'm needed where I'm at. It's nice to feel needed and important...but I, at some point, should be able to fulfill my personal goals and be allowed to pursue what I want to pursue. Well, I've been keeping my eyes open for opportunities so we'll see what happens. Wish me luck!
