Long time no post...well let's remedy that...
Hey everyone...it's been awhile so thought I'd throw in a quick update at lunch. Things have been pretty good lately. My new boyfriend Aaron has been really sweet lately. We seem to be doing very well now. He's warming up to being with me more. He's even staying with me this week...his roommate and ex has guests visiting this week so I offered a safe haven. It's been really great having him around the house...going to bed with him, waking up next to him and just having fun together.
On the job front, JoAnn's has been steadily becoming a place I no longer want to work part time at. Since the new management has taken over the store, we've lost 2 good supervisors, about 10 employees and counting and it doesn't seem to be getting better. It's gotten to where I show up and people are apologizing because it's only me at the registers all night...and that's manning the service counter where you complete tax records, class orders, special orders, returns and all the tasks associated with the cashiers...if there were any. I've been trying to decide wether to put in a notice now or try and stick it out another month until I pay off another credit card...decisions, decisions.
TSC has been somewhat difficult of late too...partially because of JoAnns preventing me from taking some *unnecessary and unwarrented* trips to our stores and competition. Our audit dept at work is trying to analyze our pricing team and strategies. They wanted us to shop with them so they could have experts with them. Hate to say it but I'm an expert at the systems, procedures, strategies and data but not our farm and consumer products. That's what the buying teams are for. They didn't like that I wouldn't give up my part time job to cut and run to shop stuff for Audit's test data. Anyway, caused a bit of a snafu that I wasn't expecting but it's working out ok now. Now all I have to worry about is if our team will continue to exist. They are talking of possibly splitting our group and scattering us to the corners of our business. My team would probably end up in the finance dept because of the large sums of money my team's projects bring to the bottom line. Nobody knows for sure and we're not sure when we're going to find out. That uncertaintly alone has everyone on pins and needles over here. They assure us nobody will lose their job but we've heard that before with other positions here. Oh sure, they offered a job but not one comparable in pay or skill level.
Had my best friends over this weekend and had a pretty good time. It made me want to have another little get together sometime. I'm thinking of hosting a little comedy movie day sometime late July maybe. We can just sit around and watch our favorite comedies while laughing our butts off. We can make snacky snacks througout the day and just chill will friends. Let me know if you think you'd be down for that!
Last note for the day...I can't wait to see Transformers the movie! I am so excited about it! I have now seen an Optimash Prime that think I will need to get and add to my Mr. Potato Head collection. Ta, ta for now!
